Congratulations man!
The dude might be pissed off at his sister's probably having dibs on your best sets (on a first-come, first-served basis), but he 'll be delighted to meet her girlfriends (remarkably by one year elder to him, I guess) when time comes (and it will come for sure)
This is something they do for geriatric pregnancies, to make sure organs/etc. are all where they should be. We had to go through all of this with our daughter last year as well. At our age you get labeled "high risk," and have to go to a completely different clinic, see different specialists, do different tests, the whole shebang.
Long story short, he passed with flying colors, we are officially out of the "high risk" category, and are now put back in the pool of "regular" checkups with all the younger couples for the rest of the pregnancy. No more specialists or special clinics.
It will happen... just gotta wait for the weather to clear. I did my last build in the studio, which was a big mistake. It it took me weeks to get all the damn sawdust cleaned out. I learned my lesson: all the big cuts and router work will be done outside this time.
I might be able to start tomorrow if the sun comes out and melts off all this damn snow we just got...
