A heyo from Germany and need a lil start help (1 Viewer)

Heyo @ the PCF community, i am 29 years old and from Germany and I need some opinions.
Soon I will be 30 and I want to buy me a nice poker set. At the moment we play with my 700 dice chips and i dont have any experience in better chips than that. I googled/PCFed much in the past days, but everytime I think about buying one, im seeing bad reviews. The best shop I found for germany was the austrian pokershop.de.
It would be great if you help me out, especially by people living in DACH and know the shop and the sets.

Q 1: How much chips do i need, and which set do you prefer in my situation

What I want to get:
- chips for 6 up to max. 12 players (we like to play with more chips, 700 is more then enough rn)
- values 25 (50 if possible) 100 500 1000 (5000)
- better feeling chips / stackable / sound
- I want to have long lasting chips (30 bday gift I will remember in good)
The options atm are (doesnt have to be this sets if they are not worth it):

I read some bad reviews about Joker and MC, so I think they arent worth it.
Milano have only a 500 set and I like the Majestics more by design.
But Majestic doesnt got the 50s.
So my go to could be the Gambler Palace (or Majestics?!), any experience? I didnt find anything about that, maybe they are just overpriced noname chips.
Q 2: MIX-IT Setup
If it is a MIX-IT set with 50s involved i would do a setup like this, any other recommendations?
We play with 5000 chips each, starting 25/50
100x 25
150x 50
225x 100
150x 500
75x 1000
25x 5000
25x 10000 or 25000
If it is a MIX-IT set without 50s i would do 250x 25.

Welcome to PCF!

Nothing wrong with the options you posted but there are plenty of more exciting ones. Some will require you completely throwing the current budget out the window, but what the hell. There are plenty of German PCFers here that might be able to let you sample some of the good stuff, especially if you’re in the Cologne area.

So you only play Tournaments? I I got myself a pretty need setup for my one table Sit´n´go.

220 x T25
220x T100
120x T500
100x T1000
20x T5000

10000 starting stack with 12/12/7/5 breakdown, enough for Rebuys and clour-ups.

Regarding the chips it really depends on your preferences. I started with dice chips, then china clays relabled, the got myself a decent RHC Tournament set from the forum and now all hell breaks loose, when yo get in the Chip rabbit hole :LOL: :laugh:

Great service and fast delivery. Majestics will be a great step up from dice chips!
Don't really see the need for a 50 denom chip. 25-100-500-1000 and maybe 5K will work for you...

Im pretty new to the advanced stuff, and I life not in the cologne area. And... Im on a budget.. :D 500-600€ should be max.
Any recommendation of that sets?

Yes, rn only Tournaments. Because I only play with friends, and they arent into it as deep I am.. I wouldnt say no to sit'n'go's :D

Do you have any recommendations from the sets above, or maybe others i can buy in that shop. Im afraid of buying from the US, because of taxes and so on.

Welcome! I echo the comments about not needing a 50 chip, that's kind of wasting money when it's not needed. Chips should typically step up in denominations by a greater multiplier than 2.

As far as the above mentioned chips I would recommend the Majestic's, they are a good chip for the cost. You can buy better chips, but, at that price point I think they are about as good as you can get. I know nothing about the ceramic chip from that list, but, ceramic chips are another good option at this price point.

Hello and welcome!

As others have said, you don't need the 50, it is useless.

A tournament set 12-handed can be easily done with 500 chips. If you need to buy in multiples of 25:

150x 25
150x 100
75x 500
75x 1000
50x 5000

T10K starting stacks of 12x25, 12x100, 5x500, 6x1000, with lots of 5000 for rebuys.

Willkommen :-) wo liegt denn Dach?

Before you buy anything take a couple of weeks and read through the forum. Take a look at at the variety of chips people post here. Read about the different materials chips are made of. Get samples.

Mal ganz allgemein gefragt - Wie wickelt Ihr denn eure US Käufe ab bzgl. Zoll, etc.?

im pretty sure i'll buy CC ones. The main reason is I only played with dice chips before and I wont make an downgrade anyway. If the chips feel bad I can send it back for 14 days, so Im ok with that.

Another general question - Is there a real chance to get ”Tina or cards mold” for a budget of 500€

Hell yes! @Ainton and @Freudeus got a bunch for $0.46/chip including reshipping to Sweden. And you certainly don’t need a thousand chips for a tourney set. 400 is plenty for a one table set

Yes, after all that messages, I decided to get 500 chips instead of 750/1000. :LOL: :laugh:
I need another reshipping from sweden to germany then.

correction - (eventually chinese) ceramics, not clays. To much "investigation" for today. :-)
Im thinking about two sets each ceramics 500x for 300 bucks (€) at the moment.

The messages help me a lot for today, thanks all.
 
Yeah, getting the proper tourney breakdown will save you a ton. Or shipping directly to Germany would make more sense in your case. I just used them as an example since it’s probably not more expensive to ship to Germany than it is to Sweden.

Warnung:
Wenn du nur CCs möchtest dann Beeilung. Alle die zu lange bleiben kaufen am Ende mehr Chips. Am Ende wird das teuer.
Außerdem. Nimm lieber 20-60 mehr von allen Chips als du meinst zu brauchen. Es gibt nichts schlimmeres als Chips zu haben von denen man irgendwann doch keine mehr bestellen kann und keine übrig zu haben :)
