So I'm planning on putting together a new T100 set that I would like to cover up to 20 players, however most of the time it'll be used for single table. I dont do antes. I have revised my plans multiple times. My original plan was to do 15/5/11/x starting stacks to cover 20 players, was planning an 800 chip set broken down as:
T100 - 300
T500 - 100
T1000 - 250
T5000 - 125
T25k - 25
After thinking about it more and realizing that most of the time I would be playing single table(which 800 chips seems over kill for), but at the same time wanting to protect myself for times when 2 table may come up, I thought about how to make it efficient yet meet this criteria. What I came up with was to build the set to cover single table with 15/5/11/x (let's say 15/5/11/3 for 30k starting stack), and if I end up needing to cover two tables at some point, then I would switch to 10/6/6/x (let's say 10/6/6/4 for 30k). To allow for this, I have calculated that I can do this with 600 chips as follows:
T100 - 200
T500 - 125
T1000 - 150
T5000 - 100
T25k - 25
Based on this, I should be able to use T1000 to chip up T100 and T5000 to chip up T500 while also being able to cover at least 20 rebuys with T5000 and T25k.
What do you guys think about my thought process and breakdown? Anything you would change? I need to order in 25 chip increments and I don't like partially filled racks, so I want to order in total quantities of 100(i.e 600 or 700, etc).
