Not Mine 500+ PCAs (mixed conditions). Is this anyone here? Are they worth it? (1 Viewer)

I’d say about a buck a chip for the lot..
Good to know. If that's the market value, I think I'll pass. That's almost exactly where the second chance offer was, but I don't need them; was just tempted.
For any PCA collectors out there, this may be worth bidding on.

I've won that auction multiple times without meeting reserve price. They continue to be relisted. They're for sale on Facebook Marketplace as well. Link below if you want direct contact. I don't really want them so I haven't pushed too hard. I just bid some bills to see where the auction would go and nobody else outbid me.

I too have been watching this listing. The $1s and$5s are typical condition for primaries and go for $80-$90/rack. The $25s about $120-$125/rack and the $100s say $2/chip. The chips in nicer condition fetch more, but averaged out, ~$1/chip is about right. The fact these have been listed multiple times should tell the owner his ask is way too high. I tried snagging them for that price but I wouldn't pay more. I already have 1000 chip set of them, which I paid probably a little less than $1/chip on average, so I don't need them, but for the right price I'd add on cause well you know, more chips. :)

The second chance offer I got was for $501. I know he's willing to let them go at that price, even if the auction does not meet the reserve. Give it a shot if you want. I'll sit this one out.

Naw. It was just one of those impulse bids. I really don't need any more. I really would not go over $400 or so. Not cause they are not worth $500, but I would only add on to my set of I got a great deal. Otherwise, I'm good with my set. :D

I love the set it's just so unfortunate so many of the chips have the dirty inlays :(

Yeah, I cleaned all my filthy PCAs in an ultrasonic, and the hooker juice goes away, but not the yellowed inlays. Still, with some cleaning and oil those chips will look much better. Unfortunately the $5s will still be bicycle tires.

Guys a hardo and swears they’ll go for $700 on eBay despite his 3-4 auctions not even reaching $600 and the historical sales prices on eBay. Unless you want to overpay I’d pass on these until he comes down to something reasonable.

Well he got the not worth a dollar part right. :D

Unprompted he asks me about knowing the background of the casino, says he knows "everything about the casino", then when I tell him I do too he immdetialy says "cool man good job on your thechipforum and chiptalk info ... your not an expert because your on. Poker chip message boards ... eBay is a diff market". So yes... he brags about knowing the background like that makes him and expert only to in the next breath say it doesn't matter that I know it as well and despite him not knowing any of the historical sales prices on eBay he's positive the price of them is $1.35/chip :banghead::D.

The barrel of $100s are probably worth twice that price! The rest? err... um... hmm....

I don’t know what’s going on but the reason I pointed out this ad in Maryland is because the same chips/photo/ad was in St. Louis- but sold for $500.
