Great starting set for new chipper
Rather not split them up
Big tournament set

There’s about 5000 chips I don’t have a exact count about 75% of the chips are worn pretty bad
The other 25% are okay and are legible
These were used in a poker league for about 10 years then sat in a police evidence room for the last 4 years asking 500$ US for this massive set shipping at buyers expense where ever you want them
Please message me with any questions I will be happy to answer happy chipping

I will add more detailed pics going forward
Thanks for looking

well we used to have a cheep fun tournament 3 nights a week at a bowling alley a league of sorts for about 10 years 20$ buy in stuff full bar self deal tournaments usually 4-6 tables some days more or less bigger events like some sundays 10 tables
It was fun it brought people into a bar people didn’t know about and brought people together
Most nights if you won the poker tournament it would’ve paid your bar tab and you would take home a lil trophy
No one really knows what happened
Some say it was a disgruntled player who ratted out the game some say it was a planted undercover mole that infiltrated the game
Whatever the case we lost a fun poker social night

The game was taking a 5$ rake
And that is illegal in Canada
So the authorities raided the organizers home and took all of the poker supplies for about 4 years
That’s about the jist of the story

Taxpayer money hard at work keeping the people safe from such evil criminal doings. So sad!

They are #727 Prestige Pro chips, injection-molded soft plastics weighing 12g with a metal slug insert, vibrant colors, printed faces, sharp edges, and four uniform white/black/white edge spots on all chips in the set (11 denominations, no currency markings).

I still have a set of 3000+ chips that I occasionally use for large charity-type events or places I don't trust with my prized clay chips.

S.B. Supplies imported the chips from China (2005-ish?), sold them online for around 14c each, and had a matching tan 25k chip created specifically for the set at my request. They stopped importing/selling poker chips around 2007-2008, I believe.

Personally, I think they are the best low-budget slugged plastic chips ever made. After getting samples, I ordered a set for our very first League Championship Tournament 17 seasons ago, and some of my local players still like 'em better than the high-end clays we use now. #heathens

Well if that's not an endorsement from a trusted source I don't know what is.

Sorry for the long post - I hope this is helpful for anyone considering these chips.

BLUF / TLDR:
  • I ordered samples online and I am pretty sure the listed ones match my newer, 14g versions, and not the older 12g referred to by @BGinGA
  • Despite being ABS, they feel a lot like ceramic.
  • It appears to have an inlay and not a label - I have not seen that with other ABS or china clay chips
  • These feel and sound pretty good to me.
  • If you buy these, you can round out incomplete racks by buying from mrcpoker.com
The long version:

Because of this listing, I ordered a sample set of Prestige Pro 727 chips. You can get them directly from https://www.mrcpoker.com/ but I ordered mine from Amazon (I think it is still fulfilled by mrcpoker.com):
https://www.amazon.com/Prestige-14gm-Clay-Poker-Sample/dp/B00UF2W59C

First of all, there seem to be 2 versions of this chip. The old one is 12g, soft plastic, and has a raised outer ring. See @BGinGA 's description in this thread and in a different thread from several years back: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/identity-please-not-clay-they-look-plastic.37105/post-684531

I think the one being offered in this listing might be the newer version (and the one I have the samples of) for 4 reasons:
  1. @MrCastro127 refers to these as 14g, not 12g.
  2. @MrCastro127 mistook these for ceramic. And the 14g samples I have are very hard - first thought I had when I held them is "this feels like a ceramic" not china clay
  3. @BGinGA stated that the old version has a raised outer ring. The samples I am holding are flat across (like a ceramic chip). And the photos in the listing do not appear to show a raised ring. See this shot here of the T1s, particularly the racked ones where there is a gap between two chips - I don't see a raised outer ring.
  4. My samples appear visually to match the ones in this listing.

A close inspection of the samples I have reveals that the center seems to be some sort of inlay. And I mean inlay and not label. It appears to be sunk or molded in so it is perfectly flush with the outer ring. You cannot peel off the inlay to apply a label (for anyone thinking of that). I don't think milling would be easy or possible. Running my fingers across the face, I cannot discern where the inlay ends and the chip face starts. But looking at it, I can see a slight color difference. After searching hard, I found the ejection marks - they hid them in one of the white marks on the fact near the edge of the chips - really hard to see in real life. The way the listed chips have worn indicates the inlay is a different material than the outer edge. See here:

I have ordered several samples of various china clay chips and I like these Prestige Pro more than most. They stack great. I like the sound (personal preference of course). They are more slippery than true clays, but less so than most of the china clays - I had to really whack the stack to get it to topple or any chips to slide off (of course the listed ones are well used and that could change how slippery they are). I found no flashing on the edges. I really like the feel of the edges, actually. There were two that were slightly sharp, but I only noticed because I went hunting for it.

@MrCastro127 - have you considered breaking this into one cash set and a separate tournament set starting with a base of 25?

I am a bit tempted due to how much I like the samples - in fact if there were more 1s available, I might have made an offer for those to try to build an affordable limit set. But I know I will never use these many chips and I imagine the shipping from Canada to U.S. would be costly.

Thank you @GreekRedEye
I would consider splitting it up
The cash chips are actually unused
And are not worn at all there is some nice ones I might keep the 50s just for bounty’s

They clean up nice I cleaned the 1ks
I thought I would keep them for myself
But then realized I would never use them I just have better sets but the yellow chips are clean
And the 1$-50$ chips are unused clean also
