$5.00 Plaques from MSK Gaming - OFFICIAL GROUP BUY Thread (3 Viewers)

Wouldn't increased shipping spread out over all the plaques actually take the price down? Especially since the fixed set-up fees are being spread across more plaques. Unless it's a huge shipping jump for just a few more plaques added to the order.... Sounds strange that the average price would actually increase.

Based on an order of 280:
3.47/plaque
79.60 setup
120 shipping
= 4.183/plaque

Just running some numbers, here's a guesstimate for a larger order...

Based on an order of 420:
3.47/plaque
79.60 setup
220 shipping (fabricated by me)
= 4.183/plaque

Let's stick with the $4.20/plaque for budgeting. Add on $0.25 for P5 and we should be golden at $4.45. We can always adjust pennies here and there once the final invoice hits.

Just to keep things moving forward, I'm going to put a hard deadline on this GB of Friday, February 5.

Full payment will be due by Monday, February 8.

MSK promises a 2 week processing time, and I estimate they should have these shipped out to us by the end of February.

Depending on how shipping is from Korea, I hope we can get these re-packaged and sent out to everyone by end of April.

February 1 Update:

Just a head's up to everyone... the factory informed me that due to the size of our order, they will require a wire transfer for payment. Not a big deal, but there will be a slight delay in completing payment, as I will need to transfer the funds out of PayPal and into my bank account, and then run the wire transfer to MSK.

Orders close this Friday.

Hey everyone... I'm extending this GB through the weekend since some one offered to send me photos of MSK plaques with a black edge next to the presidential Matsui plaques. Just to help show everyone what we're getting and maybe generate some last minute interest.

Since I won't get a $$ total back from the factory until Monday, I figured, what the heck?

To help everyone with their decision making process, here are some more images comparing a black edge MSK promo plaque with the Matsui $20 and $100 plaques. The overall dimensions are the same, although the MSK plaques have more rounded corners, and are overall a little thinner. It sounds like the MSK plaques may actually be heavier than Matsui's (although this hasn't been confirmed by scale). Thanks to @Split for the photos!

I think these $5 plaques will be a nice fit with the others.

Looking at that I kind of wish the 20s and 100s had edge stripes too or something because it's kind a hard to differentiate the 20s and 100s once they're stacked on top of each other. Then again, maybe that's just me.

It's funny you say that... because based on these photos I'm really starting to prefer the MSK plaque edging over Mastui's, especially with how the face design "wraps" around the edge more.

Granted, Matsui printing is far more "crisp," but overall, the MSKs are really growing on me.

FYI, Priority shipping rates just went up. See the current prices in the photo below...

As of now this will be the breakdown for re-shipping, and I'm trying to keep it incredibly simple:
5 plaques or less = approx. $3.50 first class postage + $1.00 padded envelope = approx. $4.50 (will verify later this week)
6-10 plaques = $6.80 small flat rate Priority box + $1.50 packing materials = $8.30
11 plaques or more = $13.45 medium flat rate Priority box + $2.00 packing materials = $15.45

FYI...

I'm going to add a "flat rate" First Class padded envelope shipping option for people with small quantities (5 or less). I need to do some work on the pricing this week, but I'll get a number figured out and posted. This should save the small quantity folks a few bucks over the priority shipping option.
