First real casino I ever gambled at legally. Was oblivious to chipping and I couldn't even tell you if I was looking at TRK or THC but those yellows spoke to me instantly.

Cache creek are some of my favorites.

Personally, my all time favorite. It was a truly sad day when I heard Cache Creek was retiring their old THCs and introducing house molds, but the one saving grace is that they kept most of the original base colors AND edge spots.
Like when was the last time you saw a 3TA316 on a $1 chip, right?

Agreed. THC and yellow in color. Amazing. Wonder if anyone ever harvested in quantity. Would imagine they would never sell. Where’s this casino located. Can we harvest with house mold?

That would be me. "Harvesting" was not even part of the chipping lexicon yet. I just assumed that I better be discreet bcuz I was stealing the casino's chips.

Cache Creek is out in the boonies about 1 hour west of Sacramento. At the moment, harvesting the $1s off the table games is a somewhat daunting/expensive task after they shut down the poker room due to covid.

314 = 3 1/4” spots
316 = 3 1/6” spots

3TA = 3 Triple Alternating. So 3TA 316 = 3 triple alternating spots with 3 x 1/6spots

Another example
The first number when there are no letters indicates how many spots there are. Any numbers after the first number tell you the width.
Eg 312 = 3 x 1/2 inch spots

When there are letters in the name the number before the letter indicate how many of that spot there are. Letters generally describe the style of spot.

8V = 8 x V-shaped spots
2V2W = 2 x V-shaped spots & 2 W-shaped spots
4TAS18 = 4 X Triple Alternating Split 1/8th inch spots
6D18 = 6 x Double 1/8th inch spots
