Hi,
I am about to order my first custom CPC set. I want to use it mainly as a tourney (2k, T5 based) set and maybe as a micro cash set (10c/25c max. 25c/25c), too.
Why 2k and T5 based? I already have two 20k T25 based tourney sets and I love the design of the T5 chip (Mapes tribute).

Tourney:
Starting stacks: 10/10/7/2
Max. 8 players and max. 6 rebuys (4 rebuys should have the starting stack breakdown; 2 with T25 and higher denoms). I use to allow add ons (2k) when coloring up the 5's.
All 8 players should have the chance to use this option for sure.

I calculated three options, depending on how many T100 or T500 you want for the add ons.
T5: 120 / 120 / 120
T25: 140 / 140 / 140
T100: 200 / 180 / 160
T500: 60 / 60 / 60
Total: 520 / 500 / 480

For the cash game the 25c and $1 are the workhorses. Cash game will be 8 players max. with $20 max buy-in and maybe some rebuys, but the bank should be large enough in any case.

Am I wrong? Suggestions?
Thanks for your help!

Sebastian

how long are your levels ?
I forgot to mention (and calculate), that we use to play short tournaments of about 3-4h before we start with cash cames.
Therefore the blind levels are about 15-17 minutes.

This structure should work better for my needs?!

On my T5 based tourney I play with a $20 chip vs a $25....To me I like the options of starting stacks better as in the same number of 5's and 20's. It plays very similar to a T25 base tourney.

10/10/7/2 is a tried and proven stack for T5 base T2k. Colour up is only an extra 3x T100 per player or 6x T500 for a full ring. Good cost efficiency for CPC.

I use this stack for T5k base T2MM game (multiply all denom values by 1000).

Sound's great. 8 players + 4 rebuys
  • 5's: 120
  • 25's: 120
  • 100's: 84 + 12 x 3 color up 100's = 120
  • 500's: 24 + at least 16 x 500's for 4 add on's = 40
= 400 chips. Bank of $356 (for micro cash). Plus some barrels for more add on's or rebuys.

If you're trying to dual purpose the set (I assume you're just scaling by 1/100), I would add a few more 100/500 for the cash game. 160/100 will give you a nice round 500 pc set and a bank of almost $700 (2800bb) which is much better than 1400bb. I don't think you'd be foolish to even go bigger, perhaps 200/160 for 600 pc and just over $1000 bank.

Of course you could always just let $20 bills play if you're good with that.

Your mileage may vary but my .50/.50 game routinely gets into the 4000bb+ territory.
