I have been around poker my whole life. Since I was little I remember 7 stud hi/lo being played and myself with a close friend used to steal my mom's whiskey and MORE brand cigarettes and play 5 card draw till one of us got sick. Later that same friend became a manager for a pool hall and showed me the life of a true hustler. During my time at 9 ball and str8 pool race games with roadies I noticed the old schoolers playing golf on the 12×12 tables in the back seemed to be playing a lot more card rather than pool. The curiosity got the better of me and that's when no limit hold em entered my brain. I picked up the game pretty quick as I already understood pot odds , position and of course the bluff. Yes I was check raising these old timers before they could say back in the day. The same friend that I speak of also had some gambling parents and always brought him home a collection of chips from the casinos they would go to and then he would always let me have them because I loved the feel of a real casino check. My friend could play poker really well but billiards was his true calling. I say semi retired because I live in a state with no casinos and since the crash down on Internet Poker my career has all but halted, with the exception of wendover Nevada and occasional home 1/2 or 5/10 cash game. I am saving my duckets for a custom set at ASM and will be posting some of my ideas for thought s and feed back. Thanks for reading to all that do
