2026 WSOP PCF Thread (15 Viewers)

They have over 100 events now, with multiple reentries, and very late max reg. It’s all designed for deep pocketed pros to go deep and rack up multiple bracelets quickly. The days of a rec player getting hot and binking bracelet are basically gone (by design).
I couldnt believe how long the late reg was in the event i played in this year. They came in with less than 10bb.

I'm starting to think the daily deepstacks are designed for the rec grinders to keep them (us?) in the shallow end "over there". My buddy was trying to talk me into going out with him this year and last before I went in Oct last year and made other plans this year. I mentioned a couple bracelet events I was interested in (Battle of the Ages last year, Mini Main this year) and he shot back, "You don't want to do that, there's a great schedule of daily events and cash games." Turns out he just wanted me to come out to split expenses.

Evidently the dealer misdealt on the last hand of the Colossus. Heads up lasted exactly one hand, and the dealer dealt to the dealer button first (probably dealing to the small blind out of habit). Nobody caught it until the tournament was over.

It's hilarious how many people on Facebook are saying how they think it should be "made right," who have obviously never read the TDA.

I deal for my home game, been dealing for 20 years.

That was a miss dealt hand. $183,000 mistake!

There it is in Rule 35, Part D:

Once substantial action occurs (see Rule 36) a misdeal cannot be declared; the hand must proceed unless the deck is fouled.

Yes and no.

Yes the hand was dealt improperly. But neither player said anything.
No it wasn’t a $183,000. It had the potential of being that. If the hand was dealt correctly and played out all in in preflop as it more than likely would have happened. Chip stacks would have been roughly even at that point. But he still could have lost again. It just wouldn’t have been on that hand

Just finished watching the 250K High Roller stream video on YT. Did anyone else notice the irony of ironies in the final hand...Kenney's jersey said Brunson on the back and Mateos won with 10-2?

Calvin Anderson joins Naoya Kihara in the two bracelet club for 2026 winning the prestigious 10K HORSE Championship and giving him bracelet #7.

However, Kihara has a chance to take back his bracelet lead again today. He is currently 5th out of 8 players left in the 50K PLO High Roller as he looks for his third win of the summer.

Today also kicks off the 'real' most important event of the summer as the 50K Poker Players Championship begins.

I did see that and the commentators noted it as well—unfortunately for Kenney, Jalen Brunson’s Knicks jersey didn’t give him poker karma against the 10-2

Muted the stream, now just watching it in a voice call with friends. The one real mixed stream the whole year and they still find a way to ruin it.

Speaking of mixed games, running just the $10K championships (minus the NLH 6-handed) and the PPC would have an incredible stream schedule of:

O8: all 3 days
2-7 single draw: all 3 days
DC: last 2 days
PLO8: last 2 days
Limit holdem: last day
Big O: last 2 days
Razz: last day
HORSE: all 4 days
PPC: last 4 days
2-7 triple draw: last 2 days
PLO: last 3 days
Stud 8: last 2 days
8 game: last 2 days
Main event: all days

Blez became a whiny crybaby at the end of the stream, around 4:25:00 and started yelling at the chat, telling them to put him on mute, telling them he'd never come back.

It has been vindicating watching the entire poker community turn on him today considering I have been on this soapbox since day 1 of his bullshit.

Benny Glaser wins the Poker Player's Championship and his 9th WSOP bracelet.

Glaser has won all of his bracelets in just the past 11 years and only in some type of mixed game event. He is now tied for 6th all time with legend Johnny Moss.

So cool watching mixed games. Wish there was more of this on tv.
When ESPN showed NL 2-7 Draw, Seven Card Stud, Razz, and PLO events for their 2004 WSOP coverage, that hooked me into trying those games online and then live. Similarly, GG Poker should have an option in the future to watch streams of non NLHE events

Heading to LV this afternoon. Any suggestions for best cash games and tournies not at WSOP? Going with a small group with different preferences. Hoping to throw out ideas for these guys so everyone can enjoy themselves.

Yeah I like this guy. And I’m happy for him. Always even-tempered and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. He sometimes comes off as a bit smug, but I think that might just be the British in him. And he’s really good.

Details in this post , but I won decent money and harvested chips at Caesars Palace NL $1/$3 earlier this month.

I played in the AM versus regulars (thankfully only one misreg at my table) and casuals and thought it was a decent structure with $300 max buyin at the front counter but you could top up to $500 at the table later.

Good, don't. We don't need to hear you screaming about the Super Seniors and how Aria and Glazer are head-up. Go back to ripping your own virtual playing card packs on a tablet. All the NLH and Blez Glasers, sorry, glazers, in the chat must be bots or people paid by the WSOP because the WSOP is continuing to double down with a minimum of 4 consecutive days of $1K NLH tourneys rather than the 10K 2-7, 10K PLO, and 10K Stud 8 tournaments we could be watching instead those same 4 days.
