That motherfucker is the goat. Bracelets in deuce to seven, plo8, stud, holdem, and now horse. Seems like real love of the game stuff going on here. He played that $1500 from day 1. Unlike Ivey, who now just max-late registers (so after the 2nd level of the 2nd day) every $10K+, and is usually out within the hour.

Benny Glaser is chasing bracelet #9 in one of the coolest final tables I have ever seen in the Limit Hold 'Em 10K. Him and Schulman are fighting for best Non-NLHE Tournament player in the world right now.

I'm not sure whether to hope this gets picked up for the stream or not. Because that stream is always a two and a half hour delay (which extends to the pokernews updates) which stinks for east coast folks, and also it's never a dedicated stream. Bouncing between multiple tournaments is rarely satisfying.
It was jarring on last night’s livestream: just as I was getting into the 10k PLO8 final table, they would switch back to the 100k NLHE final table, and then squeeze in a crazy hand or two from the 3k NLHE final table (the one with Bellande). I appreciate that it’s free on YouTube this year, but the production feels half-baked on these multiple final table days

It's also why they have a 2.5 hour delay - to give them time to produce the show. I was watching when Krissy won the $25K - I think they had 4 final tables going that night. And the coverage all felt lousy.
I hate to complain so much because I appreciate that they're trying to cover multiple things, and I know this is year one for them. But it hasn't thrilled me so far.

After watching yesterday’s stream of the 250K NLHE Super High Roller final table, I now understand why some people can’t stand Jared Bleznick’s commentary. Between dumping on the cutaways to the 5K Seniors NLHE, shouting about how Mateos is the BEST NO LIMIT HOLD EM TOURNAMENT PLAYER ON THE PLANET with similar shoutouts to other players, and questioning how GG Poker could give us this coverage FOR FREE, he managed to completely overshadow the good points he was making about certain plays or decisions…
Crazy thing is Alex was jumping from the Super Turbo to other events, then as soon as he polished off winning the bracelet he finished up the day in the 5K or something. Totally trying to Deeb up his WSOP.
Oh yeah, neither he or Kristen cashed the $250K and they're still waaaay up for the series in the ol' joint account.

I don’t know about Krissy, but I know Alex fired two bullets at the $250k, so he pretty much broke even with that bracelet win.
But no shade, those two are good - I think they’re at least even money to win another one.
Forgot about the 2nd bullet, but I know he had another big score in the 100K and cashed in the 25K 6-handed.

I refuse to watch anything they let him in the booth for.
He's an obnoxious moronic asshole with enough money to buy-in to high rollers and post occasional result to stay relevant and then gets invited to commentate and yells his opinions the loudest and fastest and critiques the play of people who are clearly more talented then him but morons eat his shit up because he does it with confidence and he seems smart to idiots who don't know better.

I find him mildly interesting in small doses. But after about 30 minutes of his schtick, I'm done with him for the year. He's an ass.

I watched the 25K High Roller to see Krissy win. I'm watching teh 250K High roller with three tables left to play.
The commentating is, IMHO, very subpar. I'm watching these stream to learn how to play the game more expertly. I'm not watching to be entertained. I literally turn off the sound on my computer to get rid of the distracting commentation that adds nothing to the show. Sometimes I even block out the left part of the screen so I can't see the hands in play, to give me practice in range analysis.
Here's how I wish the commentation was better.
First, the commentators need to stick to the play of the current hand or hand just finished, and also remind us of past action that might be influencing the current action. You can totally tell when the commentators are bored out of their minds. Their shifts need to be shorter so that fresh eyes can keep focused. I really don't want to hear anything that doesn't have to do with the current hand or the hand just completed or somthing important that happened previously. I want to know why the players make the decisions they make, the odds offered by the pot, commentary about bet sizing, etc.
Second, they need to commentators to speculate more about what action the players might take, or, ok by me, *should* take. If the commentator knows enough about the game being played I'm perfectly ok with them saying they think the player made a mistake and state why. I get the distinct sense this is very frowned upon.
Third, get rid of Ali Nejad. AT least they have toned down his Pokergo "night shift" school boyish commentary.
Fourth, at final tables, talk in depth about ICM, not just mention it in passing.
Fifth, comment on live tells if they are seeing any. I know, controversial.
Then there are the problems with what the WSOP is choosing to cover.
1. Keep the 25K High Roller focused on that event exclusively.
2. For the single event being streamed, show every hand, the full hand.
My 2-3 cents.

Coming in 9th in a 3 day event against almost 600 opponents and making $18K on a $2500 buyin is pathetic. These payout structures are just obscenely flat until top 2.

I feel like they did change the min cashes thoigh? Used to be 1.5x and now they are 2x.
I think you're right. IIRC, there was backlash after the Jamie Gold year about having so much up top and they scaled it back. I do agree though that 18k for final tabling that event seems small. A decent sized event should have at least 10x a buyin for any final table spot.

I'm heading out to Vegas on Monday (6/22). Won't be able to play in any official events as we are going for my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary celebration. Catching the Wizard of Oz and Kenny Chesney at the Sphere along with some good dinners. But I plan to play in some cash games over in the WSOP main room.
Has anyone played in the cash games so far? How are they? Loose, tight, crazy? Thinking of playing $2/$5 no limit.

1/3 NLHE fairly tight unless you find a table of maniacs (rare).
20/40 mixed players generally have exploitable weaknesses. Games are great.
PLO games are loose and fun. I feel like anyone that plays double board reasonably well has a big edge in those games.
