2023 PCA/PSPC Trip Report (1 Viewer)

Heading out to The Bahamas in just over 48 hours now, cannot wait. My first trip anywhere since I was in Vegas in 2019.

Having watched the PCA for years, it’s always been one I wanted to go to. Sadly I didn’t qualify, but my buddy did, he’s playing the $25k PSPC starting on Monday.

I’ll be playing a couple of satellites, side events and cash. Plus a boat load of craps!

Not expecting much on the chips front but great weather, food, drinks, and poker.

Live stream started today, weird to think I’ll be there on Saturday…

Just checked in online, packing now, was up till 4am watching the live feed to adjust the body clock somewhat.

Got to interview 4 people later, I expect I'll take it easy on them

Plane was an hour early so I managed to make it to the flip with ease. Sadly it wasn’t meant to be.

Tomorrow the qualification attempt begins in earnest.

Incredible being here though, have just bumped into “what’s her name” with the vibrating anal beads

Tried the $60 flip to get into the $600. Didn’t happen but today is the day for qualifying.

Yesterday was crazy, 4 hours sleep in 48 but we powered through. Pokerstars know how to look after their players. We had a great dinner and crushed craps and blackjack too.

Need to run good today, getting into the PSPC would be incredible. $30 flip at midday into the $300 at 2pm…or I will just be buying in.

Then, we have an amazing steak restaurant lined up for dinner and my boy has got to do a load of video stuff at another party tonight for the PSPC Platinum Pass winners. He is living the dream right now!

Just walked outside and found my buddy who got in late last night has been given the room right next to us! The run good begins…must be 1800 rooms here!

Time for some more sleep, then breakfast, then it’s time to crush…

First flip missed an open ended straight draw. Second flip Q73 on a QQK flop. Still no good. KQ takes it down. So. We’re in…starting in 90 mins. 10k stack. 100k stack to qualify.

One of the group went on the PokerStars golf day today.

No luck in any of the satellites. Came close in the $300. Needed a stack of 100k. Peaked at 94k but couldn’t get over the line.

Played the $300 rebuy too, sat with Moneymaker for a bit. That was cool but otherwise a non event. The chips are horrible and slippery too

Have eaten two incredible dinners so far, going to calm it down with a trip to the noodle bar tomorrow I think.

PSPC starts tomorrow at midday. My mate has had to do his media duties today

2am. Drunk. Backed off blackjack for winning too much. Matt is still in the main event, on Moneymaker’s table tomorrow.

Cash games are crazy soft. So I’ll be playing them, plus a side event or two now I’m banned from blackjack!
