Sorry I missed you -- I went back to your table at the first break not realizing the entire Brazilia Room had been broken!

Just a quick update:

Around 24000 entries, 3400 players on to Day 2... I'm top 800 in stack, starting the day at 30BB... Third biggest stack on my table... Three < 10BB... Let's see what happened...

Kinda divided between going for the jugular and building a stack I can compete with or tighten up a bit, cash and then open my game up...

You are much better players than I am... Any thoughts?

Let us know what table you're at to start the day so I can pay up on the LL.

That was one of the big gripes I heard from players - not knowing where the bubble was or what 1st place was going to wind up being. Since the WSOP had to refund many players that bought, but did not need a final bullet, and any buy-ins that were no-shows were also eligible for a full refund, they put themselves in a difficult pot. Not that it whould change many strategies on day 1, but still...

I'd love to know how close to cash you are. Personally I think these large tournaments are so heavily front loaded that it makes sense to gun for a mega stack if the opportunity appears and requires you to gamble a bit. But you can't force it.

For sure that's the case! We need about ¼ of the field to drop Tom... There's a bunch of really short stacks though so I'm guessing we'll be in the money about 2 or 3 hours in...

I always remember I had a friend who finished something like 125th out of 7000 for the millionaire maker a couple of years ago. His cash out was about $2000. I always thought his payout was crazy light for going that deep, and it was because the pushed so much money to first.

Yeah really hard to give specific advice without knowing the exact pay structure - so all I'll say is always be the shipper, never the shippee... You can't lose when they fold. [emoji3]
