2015 WSOP! (2 Viewers)

Are the Zombies playing 5A? I pre-register for it and I don't think I'll have more than one bullet for the Colossus... Never know though...

Looking forward to seeing you guys there!!!

We pre-registered for 5D :(

Here's our logic...
Anyone eliminated in the first 3 day 1's can re-register and play again in the 4th, but event 5D is the last bullet for everyone. I like that sort of level field. I guess we will have to just look forward to playing together on days 2, 3 and 4.

Our only plans for the 28th (so far) involve playing in the Aria daily tournament @ 1pm, but would happily skip that event for food or drinks with friends.

I had the same thought... I was between playing 5A or 5D for different reasons... 5D for the exact reason you mentioned and 5A 'cause I think some people will be getting it in in lots of thin spots... For sure I hope to play with you guys as we go forward but I wouldn't totally discard a second bullet for 5D either ;)

I will be accepting Last Longers for anyone involved in the Colossus. Because of multiple day 1s, LL would be a push if both participants are eliminated in Day 1.

I would also be keen on gaming with any PCF'ers at the other poker events We plan to attend:

*subject to change*

May 26: Planet Hollywood 1pm Tourney
May 27: Caesars 2pm Tourney
May 27: Flamingo (following Caesars Tourney) $1/$2 NL
May 28: Aria 1pm Tourney
May 30: Rio WSOP Colossus
June 3: Plaza Yep, I'm gonna play on the chip-less computer table. I will find it humorous to win roughly 3 million at the Colossus, and follow that up by playing in a $15 tournament.
June 4: Binions 2pm Tourney

If you win $3M in the Colossus I expect to be upgrading you to "sponsor" level status for S@PIII [emoji1]

I'll take the action on LL Zombs!! How much you want to book? I hope you don't break my bank... :)

I'll be playing $1/$2 or $2/$5 at the Venetian day and night if I'm not at the Rio... Might play a bit at the Wynn and Aria as well but The Venetian will be my go to game...

Flamingo has one of the highest rakes on the strip.
I would recommend you either Bellagio ($1/3), Venetian ($1/2) or Aria ($1/3) for cashgame:)

Flamingo also has the drunkest players, while maintaining a decent room. Venetian is right out because of Sheldon Adelson's anti-online poker political view.

As above,*Grrrrr* to the Venetian. I do like the room though, and their Deepstack events are great. I just hope someday Adelson leaves, or the Poker Room/Casino manager(s) move on to another casino to recreate a great room and tournament.

As for the LL $20? More is possible on my side, I think Mrs. Zombie wouldn't go higher as she views the LL as "gambling" while poker is "competitive". Don't ask me the difference - I learned a long time ago to never question her logic.

$20 LL booked!!! :)

I'm with you regarding Adelson... My whole group of friends is staying at The Venetian because of a good group rate, so I had to suck it up and stay there as well... I find it extremely convenient to play 45 seconds from my room... Also, the fact that a lot of good players boycott Adelson makes the game there a bit softer than in other casinos imo... Everything else equal, I'd also boycott Adelson... But for a bit of convenience and poker EV, I'll betray my values for a few days! ;)

I'd be down for that LL, may fire 2 bullets, so just let me know. Chaos, I'll be at the Palazzo, so I'll try to find you at the Venetian.

Are we all still down for the Grand Lux cafe on the 28th? Maybe 7pm-ish?

Forgot about people playing multiple bullets ... I'm assuming the LL would be for the first bullet, and if people fire more than one, they have to rebuy for the LL as well?

Before I get easily confused...

$20 LL participants:
snooptodd - 5A
ChaosRock - 5A
Poker Zombie - 5D
Mrs. Poker Zombie - 5D
nitzilla - undeclared

  • $20 to get in, he (or she) who survives the longest takes all.
  • LL on first bullet.
  • Add'l bullets require another $20 continue to participate in the LL.
  • Players must post here which round they will be in, and post before the event begins.
  • If all players are eliminated in Day 1, the LL is a push. Therefore no need to remember which level or times someone is KO'ed, or if someone starts in one of the "late" waves.
I have a side action LL with Paulo now, but will happily bump that into the group LL if he would like.

Awesome clarification Zombs!!

It would be fun to bump our action to the LL group... If you want an additional $20 between the two of us, I'm game for that as well, if not, I'm also fine (see, I'm easy, hahaha)... I'll leave totally up to you man...

For sure man! I'm checking in on the the afternoon of the 28th but I might go to the Robert Plant concert that night, I haven't decided yet... I'm good with at least a couple of drinks at GLC before the concert!

We would also be in on drinks at GLC. Will pass on food there though, as we really want to return to Battista's. When it comes to unlimited wine vs anti-online poker mogul, wine has it locked up.

Just realized I didn't wire the money for my pre registers. Anyone know if you can just pay at the cage ?

+1 on registering the night before (or earlier if possible) at the Rio, and late night/early morning if possible to avoid lines. 2 years ago, we registered for a 1k event after the Penn & Teller show, and the line was about 30 people /15 minutes deep IIRC. the next morning, it was about 300 people long. Expect more for the Colossus.

The cage will be open 24/7 once the WSOP begins.

Last event I played at I ended up standing next to Humberto Brenes in line. I had to laugh a little...didn't think the pros had to stand in queue with commoners like myself.

How did you escape his sharks?
It was hungry!!!!

Lol actually it was disappointing. He and what I assume was his wife were waiting there and he looked bored to tears. Part of me wanted to say something but he did not look in the mood for it and I didn't want to be "that guy"

I'm willing to bet the Hitching Post is far nicer than Brenes' home game.

2 weeks from now I will be there. Can't wait.

Already made dinner reservations for the first couple nights. We are going to give downtown some love on Thursday evening, which we haven't done in previous years.
