Tourney 2-3 Table rebuy format help (2 Viewers)

Hey guys.

Our usual group plays almost exclusively cash games. However for an upcoming game I suggested we do a rebuy tournament beforehand. The idea caught on and now our usual guys are playing as well as some non regulars coming out because it's a tournament. As such our regular one table cash game is sitting at 18 players with several possible more.

So any advice on format for a potential 3 table rebuy. Thinking 2 levels of rebuys with one add on after the first hour and then increasing blinds after. Unfortunately since there's so many players we'll have to use dice chips of which I have like 3000 so any breakdown should work.

Anyone with experience in rebuys got some recommendations?

Cigar shop does a 2 table, 10 per table, tourney that starts at 8pm. Starting with 5k with 20 minute levels. Rebuys end after the 5th level and most of the time finish around midnight. In some cases 12:30am.

That does actually help a bit. How many rebuys do you guys usually see that takes you until midnight or so?

if we have 2 tables of 8 or 10 we have had as many as 28-30 buys. Typically on 2 tables of people we are around total of 26-28 buys at $30 a pop. Once rebuys end we color up at the break and things progress pretty quick.
