I would like to purchase a 1000 poker chips case and considering the clear box (I understand not best for mobility, but I think it will be fine for me)

When I read amazon reviews of the 2 available on there on of those gets complains that it holds 21 chips ( https://a.co/d/6VAKdEb ) instead of 20 and the other 19 (https://s.team/p/ftkf-dmdf/GWJCWDPG) .

I guess there is this one too: https://a.co/d/8ehN9fZ

Is there a favored model of that particular chips case?

Should I considering an aluminum case 1000 chips count?

saw the harbor freight foam case but don't have it in me to customize something right now

thank you

It depends on what kind of chips you plan on using, some (like CPC) are thicker than others. Buy also, you can always use different racks inside.

Versa makes great cases, and one was recently reviewed alongside the Y&T brand:

The Versa 1,000 acrylic case is here:

However, I've never felt entirely comfortable with acrylic birdcages, but that's probably just me. I'm always wanting to support the bottom with my other hand while carrying, and that's with just a 600 case. A 1,000 would make me nervous, but plenty of folks use them without issue.

I do have a 600 and a 1,000 chip case by Versa which is their enclosed birdcage, and LOVE these cases. If you pair them with Justin racks, they're great.

Some example here of the Versa/Apaches.

I have both. Apaches are better if you’ll end up with more sets (easier to stack/stuff on a garage shelf without worrying, will handle dings and travelling much better). Versa is aesthetically nicer but really has to be kept upright IMO, it’s a smaller footprint than the Apache if space is a premium. I’ll likely start leaning Apache as I’ll store in my garage, but would be happy getting another Versa if need be.

Also, outside of prep time involved, Apaches are ~half the price of the Versa and Harbor Freight regularly have sales on them.

I guess from some reading, kind of can draw the following conclusion?

most popular for cash set:

Apache 3800 - holding 800 chips?

What is a good price for 3800 and 4800?

Thank you
