wow, great thread, I have a lot of chipsets I've built, one at a time. It's a real art, took a few years to find the patience, but it pays off. I remember when I was brand new to this hobby and how I wanted something right NOW, it was a hard feeling to get passed, but once you become more relaxed at collecting, the sets build themselves. Before I got the two full racks of Dunes dollars, at different times, I was building a rack of Dunes Dollars, one chip at a time on
eBay, before I had competition, was paying around 10 bucks a chip, got that rack up to 73 before competition came along and now it's too hard. I've been building on Desert Inn 5's , have over 1 rack, chip by chip, build up Fiesta N LV 5's , have over three racks now, built up Flamingo 5 racks, had some help too, Fremont
cic dollars, golden gate 5's, got some help too, Kings Crown 5's, My New Frontier BJ set, mostly off
eBay, Plaza quarters, dollars, 5's , Riviera 5's, lots of sources, but definitely built a few racks , one at a time, Stardust
cic '5s , 1's , Venetian 5's, but had help too. It makes it harder to sell something you put a lot of time into over the years, plus, You are definitely putting more money into a rack then you will probably get if you sell it as a rack, but maybe not, since I don't sell, what do I know.
