1 Chip at a time over years...... (1 Viewer)

OP said show your 100th chip... so I was trying to follow that, but this one is very high on the list for me

Sitting at 89 now... haven't added any in a long time, but early on @ReallyGoodUsername helped me out big time on this one.

I do believe there are two playable sets of these out there.

To those that don't know, hurricane Catrina destroyed the gulf coast. It ripped the Riverboat Casino President Casino Biloxi from its semi permanent anchored position and destroyed the boat. Many of these chips from my understanding went out the belly of the ship and washed up on the local shores. Locals went put and gathered them up, absolutely disgusting and covered in mud and sand, many of the people that collect these think it "destroys the value" by cleaning them. Took me many hours to bring them back to life, and God willing one day back.on the felt where they belong!

The entire line up is insane and absolutely what I would consider to be a Grail or GOAT set given the history of what happened to that poor river boat.

Still hunting is anyone ever finds any... I will pay very very well to finish this rack!
I need one of those too. Just one though.

clean and restore ADDs value for me... Realizing that coin collectors drastically reduce value on altered coins or cleaned makes no sense to me, just seems some dumb ass came up with that to control pricing. Coins in collectors hands don't ever "wear", chips must be cared for as they aren't made of silver or gold.
But hey if you want hooker juice, more power to ya! And if you're paying more for the hooker juice, well....... What can I say!

You have the amazing "hunter skills!" Find me 12 and I will send you thr best one on the house! Lmao

About a year ago there was a huge Biloxi lot on eBay, it had 17 of these $25s in it but many other chips and went for crazy money. I contacted the seller and asked if they could forward my #/ email on to the buyer and she did, but unfortunately I was never contacted by whom ever bough that lot. I was kind if hoping it would show up in the mail pron but it never did. Would have easily finished my rack. Since then only one has been listed and it was like $40 plus, a huge flea bite and not good condition at all. I hope no one paid that for that terrible chip. Either way the hunt continues

You’re triggering me. Lol.

Still working on finishing a rack of Riverside pink trimoon $100s. It’s been, what, 10 years? I’m at like 80-something.

I found a barrel of the “Banana” Riverside hundos years ago, and balked at ever assembling a rack since singles trade at nose-bleed prices. Then this past year The First Best E tipped me (The Second Best E) off to a whole rack.

And it took me years and years and years and years to complete a rack of the “Dancing Girl” New China Club $5s.

I owe thanks to far too many people to list, but at the top of that list would be one of the best chippers I know, @AfterTheFact. Followed closely by @Psypher1000 and @leo822, both of whom sit at the same level as David. And Mikko. He was invaluable as well.

Beautiful chips! Strong like bull!

I just posted this on the one of a kind rack page, but it’s pretty exciting l, so here goes here too.
I guess I started collecting these in the summer of 2020 without even meaning to - I’d been collecting the $1s, I’d amassed a few of the $5s, and I got the idea of building a heads-up set.
I ended up getting 32 of these from @DMack after that, I set my sights higher, but then it really was one at a time. Oh, except for some 300 singles lot from eBay which contained something like ten of them.
So I guess this took almost two years, but it’s so cool to finally have it full!

awesome!

There are very few chips I’m after. I’m building a second rack of Players Club 8V quarters. I lucked out and found 150 several years ago. I’m up to 170. I find a couple every year with help from a few chippers at the convention. I’m trying to build that elusive Indio Bingo Palace set. I’ve got the hundos and 200 5s but will need to build the 1s chip by chip. Without any miracles or estate findings, It will take a lifetime.
