‘Casablanca’ Set - What Chips to Use with the Grey/Yellow $100 (1 Viewer)

I am going to build a set around the Casa $100 Yellow/Grey chips. I have 4 mint racks and they will be used as the $100 chips (even though I will be relabeling the entire set next year, the yellow/grey chips will remain as the $100 chips in the set). This sets needs to have 2 racks of $5s, 2 racks of $25s, 4 racks of $100s and 1 rack of $500s. I would much prefer to use an oversized 43mm chip for the $500s, if possible (AS $20s is an option, but is it too much yellow?).

All my other sets follow the more standard colors of Red/Green/Black for the $5/$25/$100 chips. Given the $100 chip in this set will be grey/yellow, I am basically throwing the ‘normal’ color scheme out and hoping to find some awesome chips to add to this set. So, let’s hear and see some suggestions for the $5s, $25s and $500s.

I would go with Horseshoe Cleveland 1k chips as the 500$ chip 43mm

The mint Aztar MO Secondary $25 goes great with the Casa $100. I love an 818 to 4V418 progression.

But maybe a dark blue/purple 5, orange 25, almond/off white 500

Just thinking off the top of my head without looking at a color set or the resource page.

I am using 2 racks of those Aztars in my soon-to-be-completed Aztar set. Not that I couldn't use them in this set as well, but for now I prefer to explore the non-conventional colors for the $5s and $25s. I guess the good news it that with the release of the boat chips, there are a lot more 818 chips in the market these days (y) :thumbsup:

Yes. Given the $100s are non-conventional colors, I prefer to take the non-conventional route with the rest of the set as well.

I don't have any Bourban Street $5s to compare, but I do have lots of the PCA $25s. I am using them in my PCA set. Same as above though, and at least initially, I'd like to try to find some non-standard colors for the $5s and $25s.

Just playing around with some ideas:

Using the ES quarters as $500s

Using ES $25s as $25s

Using ES $500s as $500s

Using ES $25s as $25s and ES quarters as $500s

using ES quarters as $5s, ES $25s as $25s and ES $500s as $500s

Not necessarily easily attainable, but how's this for a thinking-outside-the-box $5. I thought the light blue and the V spots would go well.

I think the ES $25 might have too much yellow for the edgespot, but the rest work.

You could go Horseshoe $5k for the $500s.

It might be tough to get a rack of mint $5Ks, but at least I do have a barrel for visuals

Thx, but not going to mix molds and sticking with THC only.

Not that I know of... mold only, and that’s not even specific to TH&C or RH&C or IH&C either.
When searching, I prefer to look by color only and then see ALL of my options, unless I specify denomination too, so I’m not spending more than I need to per chip!

If I recall correctly, the Casablanca inlays extend past the recess of the mold slightly. Better do some testing before you decide to use them for a relabel. May run into some issues?

I think the Aztats and ES quarters clash.
How about Casablanca bricks in the line up instead of the Aztars?
Keeps the 818 but it is a “unique” color and adds some much needed warmth.
