Hi all! I am close to completing my set but still need to find a barrel of $100s. There is no time frame so it does not need to be immediately available.

Preferences:
Black base with a blue edge spot
Reasonably attainable, nothing live or extremely rare
Condition VG-Mint

Notes:
500s are inlayed but photoshopped in the photo for consistency. I am willing to move on from them if edge spots conflict with a good $100.

Here is what I have so far

Thanks for any suggestions!

Ooh nice! I especially love that HSI primary and that second Horseshoe Cleveland. I assume that is the primary from the condition

if it were me, I'm drop that white and red chip and rock out with:
pink frac
blue 1
green 5
purple 20
black hundo

Instant Baller Status

Woah, never considered that. Chip count kills it for me as I am heavy into white and red and the sum of my pink and purple are in that photo haha

@extreme517 I like these too! I came across them once before and wasn’t sure if they had the same pattern as my fives but here I can tell the spots are wider. I really like how they look racked up

I agree on dropping the whites and using the blue for the $1, but I like the red $5’s (obviously you’ve already invested in milling/murdering, so you do you!).

I think the Roadhouse $100 is too muted for your set. I think HSI primary is great!

Whites were purchased murdered and the condition is the not the best match with the rest of the set. So I could see moving on from them. I have never seen another rack of Wind Creek blues for sale beyond the one I bought. I could potentially see if another rack could be harvested

Although costly, the idea of dropping the whites and promoting the pinks and blues is growing on me. Pretty clear there isn’t much love for the Cincy 1s in this lineup.
As for the 100s, seems like Horseshoe fam gives me a few very good options. Thanks for all the input thus far!

Might outshine your $500 chip but DJ $100s are sweet chips
Yes! A lot to like there for sure! I played around with that one before in the chip design tool and couldn’t tell if there was too much overlap with my blues. It’s hard for me to tell never having seen it in person

Indiana Grand primary or secondary $100s perhaps? Also, what pink chips are those, Horseshoe Vegas $2s?

Cool, I think either could work but I am partial to the second. I wish it didn’t remind me of Michigan Wolverines maize and blue, no offense to @iLovePoker but I am more of a Cardinal and White guy.
Horseshoe Vegas $2 is correct, milled by @pokercole

Drop the pink and make a white frac.

Pink fracs are so 70’s.
I don’t mind this idea. Whites are currently labeled (except the two shown) as fracs to pair with blue 1s.
And RHCs don’t exactly give off a 70’s vibe

Did you murder them yourself? How hard/annoying was it? And what did you use?

20 Horseshoe Las Vegas $2 and 100 Wind Creek $.25 were milled by @pokercole.
I murdered 200 Argosy $5 and 80 Ultimate Bet $25.
Some of the UBs were quite difficult at first but a change of technique unlocked them.
All in all it was more difficult and time consuming than I expected but I enjoy that kind of hands on activity.

I used a razor blade and pliers for the laminate layer. Walgreens non-acetone nail polish remover and a small chisel for the vinyl layer.

I did a bunch of paper label murdering in the past. People always say the laminate/vinyl labels are easier, but I have not found that to be the case on the old vinyl Gold Strike roulettes I have.

They are quite challenging and less forgiving than the paper labels imo! I think age of the chips could be a factor.

I think the vinyl have more variance. Some peel up and some put up quite a fight!
That chisel is a real workhorse. Paired with the advice that if you don’t like the results, do something different (from the relabel thread).
Eventually I learned which technique to apply to each problem and was happy with the results
