I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice.

Me and a group of buddies do a home game about 2-3 times a month and since we started it has gotten to be quite the turn out. We started with a 500pcs set and have had to get an additional 250 chips to have chips in the bank to support the player turnout. on average we have 8 players, and it looks like it will keep getting bigger. we will be doing 2 tables eventually when my remodeling of the house is complete. I'm not familiar with the styles of matches but we've divided the chips in a t25 style (I think), but the game tends to last till its head-to-head. I'm looking to build a set intended to split up the table as well as set up a "high rollers" match with high chip denomination.

So, with that in mind I have a couple ideas on the set/sets but I'm still racking my brain on it. My buddy bought a 500pcs set I also plan on buying for the split table event but for the high roller set I'm piecing together with the lowest denomination being 100 and the highest being 10k.

What I have so far for the high roller set is,
250-100
200-500
150-1000
100-5000
50-10000

The chips I'm buying come in 50pcs quantities i have also thought of splitting them and only doing 25 chips for some of the larger denominations.
300-100
200-500
150-1000
25-5000
25-10000

More than likely the high rollers table event will the winner's tournament of the smaller table games (4-6 people). Has anyone done this before just trying to get some ideas.

All depends on the starting stack. My tournaments start with $25k with the following breakdown:
$100 - 5
$500 - 5
$1000 - 7
$5000 - 3

And I would go with $25k chips instead of $10k.

To figure out how many of each denomination you need, try using the Poker Chip Calculator under the LINKS tab.

A two-table (20 person) T100-based tournament breakdown looks something more like this:
200 x T100
80 x T500
150 x T1000
210 x T5000
10 × T25000

Staring stacks of 10/4/7/6 (40k)
