I think you're not understanding the context of that quote. It's not 100% clear but he had stated to me earlier that if I needed some time to pay (at least that's the way I took it) he would float it for a little while but if it was going to be dragging on for an extended period of time and there was someone else who wanted them and had the money he was going to have to move on. Again I could be wrong but that is how I took the conversation. I think he is more than willing to allow a few days to transfer the funds.
I'm thinking, because I missed it as well, that he was thinking that Shaggy missed out on the first 10 sets and was late. Again I could be wrong but that was what I thought happened in the conversation.
Hmmm, I interpreted it the same way Larry did. I'm not going to be sitting by my computer either -- so if that's the way it works, I'm out too.

What happens if you get payment for single sets from 10 different people within minutes of posting the listing... and pltrgyst, liftapint and myself don't get the opportunity to buy. They were committing to multiple... but they are already sold to people who have already paid.
That is the issue. They, and I want some reassurance that the sets will not be purchased out from under our noses... since we have already committed to buy.
I will pay within minutes of ordering... if I get the chance to order... believe me, I want the chance to order. Can I reserve a set... and put some money down?

The new thread will address that. I'll open up sets to those who buy the most first. I'll make sure everyone has enough time to prep for the open orders, but I doubt we'll get to single sets.

Not saying I agree with the method of the sale, but if I'm Harley, I don't see any problem with your scenario. He might miss an opportunity to sell these for a profit, but moving all the chips to one person makes his life much easier.

I wanted to see that there was enough interest for me to lay out the money for 10 sets prior to ordering. I'm getting these for less than what I paid for my set. I'm looking to save myself some headache and unload these. I know that they'll be resold and the community will get in on these historic chips. I don't want to send out 10 boxes and collect 10 payments and all the tracking and shipping hassles.
I'm trying to hook folks up with great chips at a steal. I'd get a couple hundred more to round out my set and this forum could take advantage. Now people that I've known and done business with want to trash my efforts. And claim i'm low class?
I can't fix your reading comprehension problem. This was an interest thread. The rules did not change and they've been the same the whole time. If no one replies to interest threads, then GB won't happen. I happen to have a finite inventory and can't guarantee everyone who wanted in will get them.
You and anyone else that has a problem with my clearly stated intentions are invited to fuck off. You're out of this buy and I won't be considering you or anyone else that thinks I'm being a dick by bringing great chips to the market for a great price.

Couldn't tell if you were telling me to fuck off in the post above? the point I was making was directed at Bginga saying there would be a problem if he bought all 10 sets. My statement was that would be ideal for you, and the only problem from your POV, was that there was enough of a demand that you probably could have sold them for a profit. Never trying to imply that you were making a big profit on these. As someone who owns a set of Trops, I agree that this price is a steal.

No, Scott, that was a typo. I meant to tag you then append what became my second post.
The only time I tell you to fuck off is when my 3 outer doesn't come in and you scoop my ass with a 7-8 low and top pair with 2nd kicker.
Aren't all sales first come first serve? If people thought this was a reserve thread, wouldn't it also be first come first serve?
As far as priority being given to those who commit to the most sets, I would imagine the procedure for that would be set out in the WTS post.
