I decided to have a Thanksgiving bounty (get it?) tournament, and decided we might as well benefit the local T4T program. $15 and a new toy got you 10K and a $5 bounty chip, plus extra chips for bringing an additioinal toy. We also had add-ons: a $5 donation to T4T got you 5K at the break, and $10 got you 10K.

Broke out my new Monaco Casino chips. Yep, sluggers, but they're actually pretty nice. I prefer them to CC Majestics and Dunes. They feel pretty decent, and are about as slippery as Matsuis. For the bounty chips, I used a mix of $5 chips from my collection: DDLM, LCO, HS Cinci, Key West, Intercontinental, etc.

Here's a pic of the crew. We had 7 runners. (I'm the good looking guy behind the iPhone. :) )

Marty was the early chip leader after a rebuy and a couple MAJOR river suckouts. Of course, he ended up busting out first. :D

Speaking of crazy internet poker river cards, the night had about 10 of them. It was a little ridiculous.

KK was all-in on the flop. The 2nd J came on the river.
KQ was all-in pre-flop for his tourney life.

And the last hand was a fitting end for the night. 22 jammed pre-flop for his entire stack, Jd5d snap called.

Now for the T4T stuff: My guys were very generous. Nice haul of toys, plus $85 in cash donations.

All in all, a great night, and a ton of fun!

Love the idea! Love the narrative on the evening! Hoping 5,7 off was a big blind special and shame on KK slow playing and not betting him off of them (Definitely a lucky river!) AWESOME for the kiddos! Represents awesome strength within the community! I hope it inspires other to follow suit!! Congratulations on a successful game!! Fellow chipper Ben

IIRC, KK raised to 2x or 2.5x, and 57 was in the big blind. So...sort of a big blind special.

Sometimes playing rags works out! Thinking of Mr. FARHA typing that in but I don't see that as a bad beat! Glad to see KK hold up and take the hand! Definitely behind at the post but an insane number of outs there! Didn't mean to derail such a fantastic post! Definitely gets the gears turning on future possibilities with the local crew!!

It was really funny because miracle cards were showing up on the river all night. The guy with the 57 was crippled, but ended up winning 3 hands from the KK guy with river suckouts. There were hands where the river brought a third 5, giving both players a full house, and nullifying a better kicker. Another hand, the straight on the board played, erasing middle set over top pair. It was just like that all night! Even the guys who were tilted at first ended up laughing about it.

I didn't get a pic of this hand, but the big one of the night happened pretty early on.

Flop was QJ6. Short stack shoved, and got 2 callers. Turn was a brick, river was a 10. Short stack shows TT, other 2 show AJ.

Took me 10 minutes and a few cross-references to figure out that @Beakertwang is not in the "crew pic". Two of those minutes were trying to decide if that beer can the guy sitting in front of the sliding doors was actually a phone and @Beakertwang was being silly. Then I thought that the guy on the left had an iphone in his pocket. Sheesh!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I was “behind the iPhone”, I.E., taking the picture. If you really want to see what I look like, there are a couple pics of me floating around on PCF. :ROFLMAO:
