Current not-so-secret group buy? (1 Viewer)

As much as I would love an invite to the not-a-group buy, I’m pretty sure I haven’t made the right connections to alleviate concerns put forth earlier in the thread (@DrStrange expressed them quite well).

instead, I’ll ask an even bigger favor—satisfy my curiosity. If there is indeed a super secret not a group buy possibly happening right now, will someone involved with it PM an update?

I promise I’m not a NARC (which is exactly what one would say). I promise I won’t divulge the status, your user name, etc publicly. Just curious if any efforts have been successful and how.

Woh, now. That’s a bit far. Himmler was in charge of information gathering.

Secret Hitler is a board game I was introduced to at the meetup in Georgia and it was a shit-ton of fun!

Why?? As Tom Hanks said in Big, “I don’t get it.” I think it’s pretty obvious there’s a GB/NAGB going on, so why can’t it be discussed?? I can’t see why you would care. Unless, of course, you’re one of the select few...

The word 'plastic' gets an awful lot of bad reaction around here. But when you see the name Matsui, or Abbiati, or Bud Jones, or Bourgogne et Grasset, then the word 'plastic' should be spoken with reverence.

True in a way... maybe I’m just a traditionalist. I did see the best plastic chips ever at the MGM in Macau though. It was on the Baccarat tables of the VVIP section where it was way outta my league to play, and I was too embarrassed to stand behind someone to snipe a pic... oh well.

Do you want more chips to be made? Not part of any buy but its been made abundantly clear to those who really don't get it. The chip manufacturers monitor this site so any and all discussion can only lead to secret buys getting shut down. There is no way that anyone able to do a buy will include anyone they don't know and trust like a sibling. Nothing is pretty obvious or you and anyone else would be contacting those people in PM so you could get in. It is pure speculation based on nothing.

Threads like this keep popping up and everyone asks something along the lines of “why don’t they make it public” or “why won’t they let more people in”. But you should put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself “why WOULD they make it public”. There is literally no reason for them to make it public or extend it beyond a very few friends.
