Probably not a good idea to list sales of other vendors in a different vendors forum
Oh well crap. Sorry all I didn’t see any conflict as these were totally sold out and the two products didn’t seem closely related.

I hold most if not all vendors here in high esteem and would plug them to anyone, just trying to help match user with a need. Sorry @TheChipRoom, already stated earlier about how awesome you are to work with and would recommend you to anyone (and have) as well.

Its cool. Just disappointed. I know Jim probably goes through more trouble than anything to get us these chips, or you guys, I didnt get any. Not bitter. I like this community. Some people have helped me out and I appreciate that. Me being new and a total stranger to them. I had grand plans to have real roulette set of chips before the sale started but now I have 0 roulette chips. Lol. I was in roadhouse sale and got what I wanted and guess I was lucky. Just not this time. Enjoy your chips everyone. Many casinos will fall.

Jim was selling full Jack Detroit roulette sets. You could PM him to see if he has any left and they are in your price range.

Jim is the best. I still am pissed I missed out on some tables a few months ago when he drove thru, but it was bad timing. Just buy twice as many chips next time and he will forgive you....

Yeah, I see it now. Without being on that side didn’t think to see it as competing. Edited my post, but no way to edit my idiocy where it’s been quoted, right? Tried being helpful.

Am now going to fill my bathtub with water and poker chips and throw in a toaster.

So @TheChipRoom puts together lots of chips and at prices that are highly desired among many people here and that's somehow a bad thing?!

This should be pinned for every single sale. Every time excitement, then a few disappointed, then the cranky pop up. He has given us access to more chips then nearly anyone else, I can't even count high enough for the sets he's got into play... The highest I can count is 4, but still.

Josh,

I still have those tables. I am replacing the padding and adding some new Jack Poker felts. Will put up some images when I'm done. They will be for sale too, if you want to pick them up in Utah.

Send me some pics and I could make the drive!

I’m going through Jim’s vendor pages now to make sure I know what’s out there, what I can refer others to, and see what else I can spend.

Still, my wife or children will be opening any packages of chips that come from Jim just for the near future.

Oh man, some sales on the blue wall were legendary. And I think the Jack's sale will be remembered at that same level in a few years.

On the not so bright side, wait a week or two and you'll see alot of classified ads selling all of the chips in this sale being flipped for 10 times the price.

Yep. Got too many for their set, wife is pissed, decided to go in a different direction, some unexpected expenses came up (don't pay attention to the 10 different want ads they just submitted), etc.

If it's any condolences I attempted to make a post about a guy cleaning dice chips, when he was in fact actually cleaning real dice... looked like a real jackass....ooops....
(You may have already seen mentioned post)

Would be better if it were possible to add the items to your cart and it would "reserve" them for a period of time like when you order movie tickets, hold them for 5 min or something to let you complete adding things to your cart without losing the things you've already added. That was the issue I ran into. I added something to my cart, checked to see if it would check out, then once clear went back and added something else and by the time I did that the first item had sold out. Something like that could alleviate the shipping charge issue as well.

Course I guess someone could just log in and load everything in their cart and hold it for 5 minutes angering the masses...but I guess if he bought them it wouldn't be much different than it is now.

I kinda like the randomness that happens in Jims sales, I’ve had a few good days and a few strikeouts...
Never said I had a right to them. But you knew my intentions when I asked for the numbers. And these are peoples 4th order. I'm just trying to piece together my first order. Like I said, dick move.

Hey man, welcome to PCF and your first chiproom sale! I’ll try to help you understand what’s going on here. Jim announces a sale about a week before it happens, he lists the inventory and a precise time they go on sale. And when the clock strikes for the sale, the majority of the chips are gone in the first 5 minutes. So sorry you missed out, because Jim sells some of the best deals on paulsons anywhere, and I think he likes to get em sold all in one fell swoop, work hard and ship em all out in one week, instead of sit around and wait for people to buy them piecemeal.

And about whoever bought the chips you were hoping to buy 3 hours after the sale, they most likely did Not read your post, then go try, they probably were trying as you were complaining.

Good luck next time, and if you want some paulsons, hang around the classifieds section, there’s always good deals to be had, but you have to be vigilant and patient.

Another fantastic sale from @TheChipRoom. I sat out again as my needs are getting fewer and fewer. Always going to be some disappointment I know I’ve had my share. Just need to figure out how much you really want the set(s) both before and after the sales.

Great sale Jim and thanks.

@all -> Let's pray that Jim is listing all chip flippers for his ban list...that shit ain't right (and I talking about real chip flippers...buying with intend to flip with fastest turn around and most profit)

and please post pr0n asap (i'll have to wait two weeks)

Too much gray area on what constitutes a flipper. How long does one have to wait to sell their chips at a profit before being labeled a flipper? What percent profit can you make before its considered a flipper?

Again, I think this comes with time (since once can be an aberration). If an individual is repeatedly buying chips en masse only to routinely release them later at a higher price, you’ve encountered a flipper in the wild.

I don’t speak often to the flipping, but I despise it as well as the direct messages I received when I first started out by those willing to “help” me (some did genuinely help, most we’re willing to part with chips at a price they couldn’t otherwise have gotten).

I personally care enough to avoid this that I now include “Previous owners have first dibs at the price they sold to me if they would like,” in any sale. Not saying it’s right, but if people went by the same tenement, flippers would immediately be out (on public sales at least).

I do think limiting the amount of chips a person can buy at the sales can deter them. Its got to worth their while for them to flip. Like in the road house sale. 2000 limit and 1000 after the first hour. Most a person can flip would be 3000 chips in theory. Where when there are no limits anything can happen.

Great idea @Thomacetti. There have been a few times I would have loved to have been able to get a playable set, but several people ended up getting way more than they thought they needed, or decided to go in different directions, only to turn around and “release them back to the community” at a 100-300% markup. Jim offers affordable prices, only to have the greedy members abuse the situation.

I do refund shipping, but it is a huge pain in the ass. I will try to figure out a better solution with @Tommy

Jim

For the future, Jim you really need to ditch this paypal checkout page you’ve been using. It’s 100% useless. You’re making sufficient profit on your sales that you should be able to afford a decent online retail sales portal. It’s 2019 for God’s sake  :ROFLMAO:.

Your current checkout page will let you add whatever items you want to your shopping cart, and only upon checking out will tell you the generic message “Sorry your items aren’t available”, leaving the want-to-be purchaser to go back and remove every item from their cart to try to find out what isn’t available, and later re-add their entire order chip by chip, all while inventory quantities are rapidly changing. It makes the purchasing process essentially impossible, especially when combined with rules on chip quantities which the buyer is trying to adhere to. The entire experience is so bad that it puts you off wanting to participate in these sales at all.

As a seller, your customer service is stellar - you are responsive, shipping is reliable, products are good, etc. Your sales portal lets the process down, however.

Tip: how about having one sale page, with options for adding all of the denominations in the sale, which actually shows the quantities remaining?? This would make the process a little bit less of a guessing game/lottery!

cheers!

When I checked out one of the items was out of stock and it told me which it was and I was easily able to remove and try again. I was on mobile.
