The new secondary 5 is better than the original. The original seemed Dice-y

I’d be going with the primary 5 though (red/yellow), assuming it will still be available.

It will be available.

The orange one is just a spare option, because Mel wants to allow some level of customisation for people.

I still think something should be changed on the pink quarter, make it shine a little more, and the blue quarter has the same colors as the blue dollar ??, why not use different spot color on the quarter

I do agree with this. I’d like to use the blue quarter, but I’m hesitant to do so given the similarity in color to the white $1. If the bkue quarter had a brighter, more contrasting spot color that didn’t clash with the other chips (like maybe a bright orange or pink) it’d be a no brainer.

That said, I’m fine with using the purple quarter as my backup option.

I'm going to be organizing a group buy for Matsui cash set chips. There will be 2 sets, one cali-colors and one traditional colors, plus a few extra chips to help facilitate mix-and-match for semi-custom sets. All chips will have the same inlay design -- this will keep the artwork costs down. I still need to work out the details with Matsui, regarding costs. Hopefully within the next week or two, we can get an official order thread going. I hope that the cost will be in the $1.50/chip range, but if we can reach 10k chips ordered, it should be a little less than this, and if the order goes higher, the price per chip goes down, as fixed costs are spread thinner.

Thanks to @MoscowRadio for the awesome inlay artwork -- he has been so awesome to work with (if you're looking for design work, give him a try!). Thanks to @Perthmike for doing the heavy lifting in designing these chips. And thanks to @detroitdad for his help too.

Here are mock-ups of the chips. Not all details are final. Final color decisions are pending receipt of a color kit from Matsui (this may not arrive until the end of May). In particular, the spot color on the Cali 5, and the mold choice for the $20, $25, and $100 in the traditional set are not set in stone. Most everything else is pretty solid.

For planning purposes, this is going to have to be turned around pretty quickly. My Matsui rep is going on leave, and I need to get this order placed and paid by June 10th. The order thread will probably only be open for about a week, with payment required within about a week after that. So start thinking of what your set might look like, NOW.

Here you go...

Can we switch the label on the pink .25 and the snapper? That white on pink looks good and most (if not all) will use the quarter more than a snapper.

We did have that mocked up originally. Will take it back to the team leader for consideration.

FWIW its worth. They could be identical. They will never (or shouldn't) be in play at the same time

With all these options it’s going to be hard to add on with spares from other people on the secondary market. So order what you think you need the first time!

THIS! I only need one rack of fracs. I think I'm going to order a rack of pink and a rack of blaze orange. I'll keep whatever I like best.

I'm considering ordering an extra rack of fracs myself and deciding what I like best after I receive them lol

200 x frac (keep one rack)
400 x 1 (cali blue)
400 x 5 (cali yellow)
160 x 20 (cali, black base)
40 x 100 (cali white)

I really love the yellow five. I might get 500 of them.

Yellow five for the win. This lineup is about my ideal.

I made it clear to Mike and Mel that the only way I would participate in this is if we had a yellow five. In our private discussion thread that is pushing 30 pages. I am now referred to as "Mr. Yellow Chip" :)

Er, It's only 29. I think you earned that title :p I'm loving the orange 5 but I'll probably end up sticking with the yellow 5 too

I said "pushing" 30 pages. Every time I go to sleep there are another 2-4 pages added on for me to comb through lol. I love this shit though. Its perfectly fine.

Which frac would you guys recommend if I were to use the blue Cali $1 and the traditional red primary $5?

I'm afraid the purple is too close to the blue $1, and the pink + orange may be too close to the red $5.

For this reason I think I'll end up going with the white $1 unless someone can convince me that I can use any of the fracs offered with a blue $1 and red $5..

I honestly think the Pink frac would be fine with the red five. I haven't owned any of the red so I cant be positive.

Has anyone relabeled a WPS GB chip?
I haven't relabeled but it'll be very easy. The label takes a bit of a beating since you need to get under it to remove it so I think it would be very difficult if not impossible to move labels between chips. Relabel shouldn't be a problem though provided you use an expert like Gear who goes to great lengths to make the replacements the right size.
