Been on a heater as of late. Out in AZ for work and up over 3k across two sessions the last two nights.

A couple tough beats early on took my initial $200 (+$100 add) down to a mere $47 in the first 1.5 hours! Couldn't get above $100 for the next almost 2.
Finally managed to have some hands hold and....

Finished out the night with $700.
Yep. Some nights, it can be a grind. But if your bankroll is strong, you can eventually rungood and cash. You just gotta “know when to walk away” to quote Mr. Kenny Rogers. :p

Hit the 2-5 at PBC... terrible
Room and even worse players imo but I had three hours to kill before my flight out after a work trip. View attachment 250793
Ugh. I've never played here, though I've considered it a few times as I'm in the area several times a year.

The old crappy ceramics at Daytona were worse - some were so worn and white that it was hard to tell the blue $1 from the yellow $2 in a pot. Luckily they replaced the last of those a few years ago.

So I feel the need to pose a question directly relating to this specific thread.
And although I've done it a handful of times, I just feel REALLY awkward about it..

Specific to casino tables, as I've certainly no issues with it at a home game..
Does anyone else feel like it's kinda pretentious to take pics of stacks while at the table? Kinda feels like your putting a nice "this guy must think he's something special" target on your head... Or maybe I'm making it into a bigger deal than it really is?

I think very few if any people will notice, also in the age of Instagram and Facebook it is more normal.

Bonus points for looking like a newb and having people assume you are worse at poker than you are(or maybe showing just how bad you are :confused)

I’ve done it every time but doubt anyone’s ever noticed or thought anything of it. I mean look at your photo, guy with his phone all the way on the table  :ROFLMAO:. Just the world we live in now for better or worse.

I've thought about that many times.
What I am doingWhat my opponent probably thinks
Starting stack pic
...this must be this guy's first time in a casino
F****d up casino using BJ and Paulson $25s interchangeably

...must be the first time this guy was ever up $50
Pic of new chips after tournament color-up
...must be this guys deepest run ever
Taking a pic of the dealer's tray, because the chips look cool in "stacks"
...pervy old man just blatantly took a pic of the dealer's cleavage
No selfie after binking the tournament
...oh, maybe this guy is good
(this one he is wrong about)

Scottsdale? I didn't think they had a poker room. Or is there another Casino Arizona?
Yes. Talking Stick. Also.... the streak continues... had a pretty slow session then the following transpires on my last hand of the night.

I’ve been playing for a couple hours and it’s 1am so I’m playing my button and then going home. 1500 affective stack in. For 1k so gonna book a nice little win.

HJ opens for 45 and I look down at 8c8s
I call and flop comes 7h 8h Js. (Middle set but heart flush on board)

HJ bets 60. I raise to 160 to dent flush equity (in hindsight should’ve made it more but turns out it didn’t matter). She re-pops for 400. I think for awhile and shove. She snap calls and i know immediately I’m dead. She rolls over JJ for set over set.

Only thing is....... 8 ball on the river! Haha won the high hand for an extra $200 on top and left with almost 2.5k.

Would have been a disgusting way to go out!

Last day of 15 day trip..one of my busiest work trips and wished I had about 5 times as many chips but still very happy with the quality of chips I’m saving from the ruthless metal edges of the toke and take containers.

(Picture appears to be a bit blurry - but if you know you know)

Those Jerry's Nuggets $1s are one of the best ever!

Here is a few sessions over the last few months - good sessions overall - a few games played much bigger than normal as we had a crazy straddler that juiced the game often.

Sessions 5/5 PLO 2/5 holdem 1/3 holdem 5/5 Big O

The roulette is just to get that Seven Star status
