Started teaching them over the summer. They're 9 & 12, we've only played a few times so they're definitely still learning the basics. Though after this hand my younger one now thinks he can play with the big boys lol. :ROFLMAO:

So fun. I didn’t have a son to teach. Awesome they enjoy playing with you.

Anybody that has raised kids know they "bluff" more often than adults. Just ask after something is broken, or the younger one is crying.

Heh.

But seriously, I think the reason may be different: When it involves misbehavior, the kids’ bluff is to cover it up.

With poker, young kids have little concept of money, and unless they haven't been required to buy in with their allowance, have nothing to lose. Give me a total freeroll and my bluffing rate would skyrocket, too...

Yeah, if you are teaching kids poker without consequence for losing, you aren't teaching them poker.

Even money may or may not be a solid motivator. Tournaments, where the winner gets a week without chores... now that's poker!

We used to play where the winner would get to pick the movie that we would rent, or where we were going for dinner :)

Playing low limit dealer's choice Saturday night at @timinater for the losers of the tourney league. Scrotum was a huge hit (har har) with everyone, but we also played some Badugi, Razz, and PLO8. Circus games may come in due time! :)

I tried to play Scrotum with some pros, but I couldn’t hang. :D

By the way, there another, perhaps less off-color, name for Scrotum. Asking for a friend of my wife.

Ask Larry @pltrgyst , he might know. lt's a BARGE staple.

I have no clue, but given the inherent frustration of the game (especially if played hi/lo), it probably evolved from the multiple times somebody yelled "BALLS!#@%&" after the river card was dealt.
