Wow someone has been busy!

I've always really liked that Caesar's $2 chip. It was the first casino chip I ever bought that I didn't get directly from a casino.

Curious if Paris gives more trouble than others about taking racks of $1's from the cage by not having a poker room. If I was going to do this at any kind of quantity, it would probably be theirs.

So, not to be a mold nit, but I see ten gorgeous racks, and only one of them on the good ole THC mold . . .

Yeah, this is a work in progress. I'm trying to build a mixed Casino mold LV set. I just threw the Bally's and Harvey's in there for the PRON.

Paris is one of the stingiest...I got one whole freakin mint chip at the cage and they acted like they were bringing out a Faberge egg from the back or something.

Very nice collection......are those the current Mirage $1's or do they use the tan $1's now?

The blue $1 chips are only used for pit games. There was too much color transfer to clothes that they switched to the tan $1 for the poker room.

Actually it was the blue chip dust getting in the shufflemaster and turning the cards blue.

According to the dealers Lumiere Place in St. Louis, MO recently got new fractionals and dollars.

I was unable to get any uncirculated racks from the cages, but I played blackjack for a while to get some 50c chips. A couple dealers were nice enough to sell me a handful as well (but wouldn't give me more than $2-$3 worth at a time.) The edges on a few are blasted because of hitting them on the toke box, but there's a few mint ones too.

The most interesting thing to me is that all of the 50c chips are aligned. I didn't pay close enough attention to the other chips to see if they were as well. $5 and up are old chips that are all rounded. $1s are a mixed bag but still have some nice ones at the tables.

I just stopped in there today because I just moved to the area and got a pit dealer to give me change and kept two of the 50 cent chips and a dollar chip. The 50 cent chips I got both seem brand new. Made me think about harvesting a bunch for a relabel.

Lumiere place is only 3 minutes away from my work so if anyone wants some harvesting done I should be able to do it

I went back today with the intention of trying to complete a rack to relabel.

I must have gotten a bad shift. Not a single dealer would make change to give me pink chips. I tried about 10 different tables over the course of a couple hours and none would budge.

I played blackjack again for a bit but only managed 2 more.

Same story at River City. I was sad they no longer have a poker room because I was going to try and get a rack of their tri-moon $1s. They were all in pretty bad shape and it'd be difficult to get a rack.

Totals from this weekend:

Lumiere Place - 24
Hollywood - 43
River City - 2

Mission failed really. I was looking to make some cheaper quarters for my Horseshoe set(s) and instead I just have a patchy pile of pink chips.

Here's some more photos anyway since that's what this thread is for! I do apologize that they were hastily taken from my hotel room.

Not too shabby but yeah if you're looking for a fair amount I guess that's not gonna cut it. I just made a very quick visit while exploring the city with my girlfriend. Played black jack for about 15 minutes and asked the dealer for change to tip him with and mostly with the intention to harvest a couple chips. After seeing the nice condition I thought about really harvesting them. Since I will be driving by everyday I think it should be realistic to be able to harvest enough over time to get enough for a decent relabel

Just tell them you collect chips and would like some nice ones for you collection. Usually if they're not too busy the dealers will search through and find nice ones. ask them for a few if each and throw em an extra buck or two
