I'm in the dying little town of Deckerville, nice area here but economy not good overall with so many auto parts factories closing here the last 10 years.

BTW, "Bad Axe" is a *great* name for a town, and would look great on a custom set...

Congratulations on your score. I'm one of the few people around here who think those chips are hideous. But they're still inlaid quarters, and regardless, I can imagine the effort it takes to harvest those things.

Some quick shots after some harvesting last week in Vegas.....160 Flamingo $1 solids (1 rack for another PCFer and 60 for myself); 120 Golden Nugget $1s; 50 Caesars Palace $2's.

For the Flamingo and Golden Nugget $1's, it was pretty easy. I sat down and played $2-4 limit poker, then when I left the game I racked the chips and wandered out of the poker room, sat at a slot machine and stashed the chips in my pockets (I wore a light jacket with zippered pockets), then left the rack on the counter of the main cage. (I didn't want to be seen by security carrying a rack out of the casino.)
The Caesars Palace $2's I picked up on a weekday morning when it wasn't busy at the poker room desk/cage. There was not a game going on at the time that uses these chips so I waited until there was no poker players in line and the pit boss left the desk/cage area. There was only one worker at the counter and I told him I was a collector and asked him for 50 of the green $2 chips. He hesitated a bit at first, but said OK, and counted out the chips for me. I gave him a $100 bill and tipped him $10....he was pleased with that. Not sure how close they watch these chips, but I didn't want to take a chance that the pit boss or poker room manager would see the transaction and maybe want them back, so I pocketed the chips and left the casino right away.
Initially I checked at the main cage but they said they didn't have any, that I would have to go to the poker room.

I've always had the best luck at the poker rooms.
There's some good tips in the "Best way to harvest chips?" thread. I would also suggest wearing clothing with pockets (light jacket or cargo pants) or better yet take a backpack.

Since discovering PCF late last year, two things have happened:
(1) My love for chips is back and in full swing; and
(2) I cannot stop harvesting fracs. So much work and soooo time consuming, but I must have them alllll...

A bit late to the thread but... from my first harvest try:
~ 1,200 chips and 12 Paulson racks
Really lucked out with an easy going casino employee and no one in the cage realizing they shouldn’t give me the racks to take

Paulson got a big top off reorder from the strip after you left
Got lucky and was able to buy 10x snappers at once. Also picked up some $1s and the cashier almost gave me 2 racks per 100x (for top and bottom) so I could carry them out easier

Simply love the Edgespot colors on these Cache Creek $1s. I just get a lil bit when i see the chip face though, because i realize they're not the THC version from the late 90's.

Obviously the old THC would be 2x as good but these are still AMAZING colors and spotting
