Fugly Poker Table Thread (16 Viewers)

I'm not advocating this style of build. But honestly, I think I could live with it, compared to some of the wacky stuff posted here. I think the worst thing about it is the raised playing surface, followed closely by the chip trays. I guess if I'd rather play on this than the kitchen table, it's a success on some level?

On the contrary, I could live with everything, except leaning on wood all night. My chairs have arm rests, so we don't lean a lot. But still, wouldn't that get old?

I don't know. I still can't get the vagina table out my mind. Burned in

I have 2 tables with wood rails. In my experience..

Suede > Wood >> Vinyl >>>>>>>> No Rail.

Disclaimer: Wood rails only used for 5 hour sessions.

Paging @Poker Zombie! I found your table!

The artwork in it is pretty cool, but as far as playing poker on it, no way.

WOW, its, its, CoOl ish. I like the feet.. I also like the built in food trey's....

I think that's a snap buy for them. Someone in OH needs to have a meet up so they have a reason to drive up to pick it up.

Too cool - the feet are stupid awesome! I'm guessing this wouldn't sit more than 4 people though, so I would need 6 more of these to replace my current set-up.

I wonder if T-Chan has ever built table "feet"

You prefer an unpadded wood rail over a vinyl, padded rail? Can you explain why?

Two words: arm sweat.

Vinyl rails cradle my forearms in a non-breathable fabric. This is very discomforting to someone like me that has been referred to as a "human space heater". While I don't tend to sweat in unusual amounts, on a vinyl rail the heat is trapped/reflected back, resulting in a moist (and gross) rail. I do not have the same issue with suede (or other breathable fabrics), and wood provides very little skin to rail contact, so no heat issue there either.

As for those that think a wood rail would be uncomfortable, think about the hours you've spent at a dining room table, or at a bar watching a game. You can literally sit there for hours with good company and never feel uncomfortable. Just make sure the wood is smooth and round-off the edge. Just like any bar that wants you to stay in that seat as long as possible.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, is that RED leather on the playing surface???? O heck NO!!!!

I also like the crooked cup holders and the one near the dealer, now thats AWESOME..

Dude 1: "Dude, do you remember anything from that kegger last night?"

Dude 2: "Not after the 3rd keg was tapped. Although I do remember you saying you wish we had a poker table to play cards"

Dude 1: "How fucking awesome would it be to build a poker table"

Dude 2: "That would be sweet. But the only place we could get headliner for the play-surface would be out of your refurbed 58 Cadillac."

Dude 1: "Right. I guess we just gave up and drank more then..."

Dude 3: "...you might not want to look in the day-room...."

Poker table with lights for sale. Great condition custom made, heavy wood.

Been trying very hard to figure out what I could do to make this table functional.

Best I've come up with so far is to build a new table next winter while using this one as firewood to produce heat and light in the garage. Still not sure it's economical.....
