Well that wasn't exactly how I expected the Patriots to win. I'd have to say that Vegas was a hell of a lot closer to the truth than I was.
But to a fan, that doesn't matter one bit.
 
All my co-workers in FL were bragging all night, but before the game started I predicted 34 to 28, Pats win and it came to pass. Even when we were down 21 to ZERO I held strong under the onslaught of their misplaced bravado. Also won the bet with my boss so getting some cash today.

I wanted to see a great game, and was not disappointed. Only downside of the Patriots winning is that so many of their fans have no class.

I would say most fans show the classless side after big games; win or lose. This is also not a blanket statement.

Plus ... Eagles fans are the absolute worst !!!!

Is this directed at fans on the board, or at the booing of Roger Goodell during post game? or both

I think all teams have no class fans (except maybe ATL who barely have fans), NE fans have been in the spotlight for the past 15 years so I think they just get more coverage.
 
I won't argue that a lot of patriots fans Are obnoxious. Classless is a bit extreme.
But there are so many mistruths about this team that the general public accepts as fact, and calls them cheaters for it.
The entire deflategate scandal was a BS witch hunt.
The spygate scandal was so overblown, it's laughable.
So yeah, there's a lot of justifiable chips on shoulders around here. That's doesn't excuse some of the idiocy I see from fans, but I understand it.
AND TOM BRADY IS THE CLASSIEST, MOST STAND-UP, HUMBLE ATHLETE I'VE EVER HAD THE PRIVILIDGE TO WATCH. Anybody who doesn't realize that is missing out on a great sports hero, to their own detriment.

I'm not sure Eli ever beat the Patriots. I suspect that was all Tom Coughlin.
 
Hilarious. The patriots were handed this super bowl by Kyle Shanahan and anyone who actually knows football can't dispute that. Worst loss ever.

That said, I'm sure you sleep fine with regards to the Patriots. This wasn't meant to be a knock on the Patriots, who are obviously a great team. But why everyone has to shit on Eli is beyond me.

Anyone who knows football knows it was equal parts amazing comeback and shameful choke. Putting all the blame on Shanahan and giving no credit to the patriots is dumb.

Patriots deserve a ton of credit for doing everything they had to do in the second half to win the game. But without the Falcons/Shanahan mistakes, even the Patriots' best would not have been enough.
 
HAH spoken like a true pats fan. How about a team that runs the ball 4 times after you're leading 28-3 in the 2nd half. How about throwing the ball on 2nd down from the 22 yard line when you can just kick the field goal (go ahead and kick it on 2nd down???) and seal the game. It was playcalling on Atlanta's side, patriots had blown this game in the first 3 quarters.
 
I didn't watch the game, so how did the Patriots cheat this time....??
