Custom Chip Advice (28 Viewers)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a custom cash game chip set and would really appreciate some feedback from those of you with more experience designing chips.

A few things I’d love your thoughts on:
● Do the colors work well together as a complete set?
● Are any of the denominations too similar or potentially confusing during play?
● Would you change any of the edge spots or outer ring colors?
● Are there any design issues I should address

I’m still learning and would love to hear any suggestions, critiques, or ideas you might have. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help!

Will work fine on a table, but two comments:

1. The $5 rolling edge spot needs to be adjusted so it’s not a straight vertical line, so it can be cohesive to the rest of the set. Just looks like a miss
2. I’d suggest adding some “fun” colors to the circle edge spots - at minimum your $25 and $100 chips. Monotone look is fine, but might feel “dull” on the table in reality. Think monotones in lower denoms, but progressing to less monotone in higher denoms.

The two tones of the same color are not fun imo. Its too subtle and will mess with ppl's eyes. I'm not sure how color blind ppl will view it.

Possibly more subtle on screen vs in person of he’s using my color profiles. I’d have to look up though, know some colors print very different vs mockups.

Woah, thanks for the advice! Here’s my updated set.

Thanks cratty for the inspiration. I really liked your dunes of arrakis and basically copied your chip. I just swapped the labels because I’m purchasing a 600 piece set and it dosen’t make sense for me to pay 80$ for the label so I just went with the free one for this month

Changes that I made from my previous model:
Made the red have a little more contrast
Changed the 25 and 100 denoms to have a little more flare.
Also note that the green chip is supposed to be 25$ not 25c LOL but I’m too lazy to change it for now.

I’d do something with the $100/$1 to separate those more. Lot of grey/overlap and could be a dirty stack concern if the $100s ever come out.
