Which is more than we did lol. I just want you guys to take it. One, I think you're the better team, two, to justify my own frustration with our own failings.
The Colorado series is shocking to me. Even with the unexpected absence of Makar I still thought Colorado would play better than they have. Credit to Vegas, I hate them, love Torts though.

Montreal has a uncanny ability to score on a high percentage of their shots while getting decimated on the board in shots against and still remain in every game. Not a style I'd really enjoy watching but you have to respect their success while doing it.

So, I think I may have found the perfect trophy for my Hoser Hut annual Canada Day tournament

The guys who keep the cup brought it to my local bar the Victory Pub late night one Sunday night for no apparent reason.
I hate the Vegas Knights, but man, their front office is a thing of envy. One of the hands-down best run orgs in the NHL.

As an Oilers fan, Montreal is the lesser of three remaining evils. Their fans will be insufferable if they win though.

To me it’s pretty clear that Vegas are the Villains, but try having a home arena where it gets 50-60% filled with Montreal and or Toronto fans during their “away” games lol.
I could never hate a Canadian team winning the cup given the recent history and lack of success, but it would be very annoying to hear it from Montreal fans.
Ultimately I’m cheering for Carolina this year, they also have the best story right now as well.

Also Vegas are dirty rats in how they run their front office, between cap circumvention and not being able to read a players contract before making a trade, they have done well but you can only wonder why that is…They were handed very favorable circumstances starting out and it’s echoed going forward.

When I still lived in Edmonton, there would be so many Leafs or Habs fans during their away games there that they'd drown out the Oilers fans. I used to just sell my seats for those games though, so maybe I was part of the problem!

It’s true lol, but it just feels a little worse given that Ottawa is sandwiched between the two.
Every year that Ottawa is out of the playoffs I can always find myself cheering for Western Canadian teams but not the Eastern ones lol

I disliked him for a long while because of what he did to Draper. But I softened on him over the years. He really was a solid all around player.
Yeah, that was a nasty hit.
Also, man, those Colorado - Detroit series in the 90s! Those were wars.
