Long time waiting on chips from Okku (2 Viewers)

I’m going to clean this up a bit.

My wife was trying to defend me and give context because she cares about me and our family, but this is ultimately my responsibility. Some of what was posted included personal family details that didn’t need to be public, and I understand why parts of it landed poorly, especially the comments about keeping artwork coming.

To be clear: I’m not asking anyone for sympathy, orders, or a pass.

The only relevant points are these:
- BKisback’s package has tracking / has been shipped.
- WedgeRock’s package has tracking / has been shipped.
- Wheeler Assembly will be paid by the end of the month as stated.

I’m stepping away from chip sales/group buys and anything involving physical shipping for now. I also won’t be taking on new paid work unless I can scope it clearly and complete it responsibly.

I understand the criticism. The fix from here is organization, communication, and follow-through. I'm just going to leave it at that.
 
I can't defend anything you all have said here from the shipping aspect, but I recently worked with @Okku on a design for some custom Tina chips. In full transparency, I reached out to him quite a while before I heard back, but life happens and it sounds like he had his hands full. And I never followed up for awhile because life happened for me too. Nevertheless, he reached out to me regarding the design work I had sent him and it was smooth sailing from there. Communication was great, pricing was upfront (never paid a dime until it was complete), and he absolutely nailed the concepts I had in my head but lacked the talent to bring to life.

Not excusing anything you all have experienced, just trying to put some perspective to it all with my recent experience. I'd use him again for design work and I can't wait to get my Tina's order for my family golf outing.

When you, after years of online interactions,, finally share the table with these members...it all makes sense.

I made multiple friends for life on CT/PCF, that welcomed me in their home and treated me like family.
Just based on ONLINE interaction with members that are 1000's of miles away.

Has @Okku turned a new leaf?

Designers are hard to find. I know a couple that do excellent work, and if I asked them, they'd do it for me, but they are not seeking design work. @timinater was my guy, but he retired. I know @Okku does good work, because he did some labels for me already. But frankly, it wasn't worth the hassle of keeping him on task.

Against my better judgment, I asked him anyway. He was super responsive, not only with an initial design, but with 4 initial mockups. He made three revisions quickly and sent me my files already.

I hope focus on my new job didn't set anyone else back, but if this is the kind of work/response @Okku is going to do going forward, no one should have any issues.

I’m not flaming anyone here. The rest of the community is doing a fine job. What that means is that other people are responsible for the flaming content here, not me. If you need more help with this let me know.

So now I catch flak for not flaming people’s posts? I mean some consistency in what you want would be nice.

I don't really get it with people sometimes, mistakes were made, there were issues, it was handled incorrectly, but, he's here and trying to make things right, yet you still want to rant and pour it on.

If you just want to bitch then say I'm here bitching even though he made things right. Learn your lesson and move on. What are you really gaining by continually coming back to this thread to flame even more? Fulfilling some bullying need?

BTW, I'm here bitching.

Agree 100%.

That said, I am now paid in full. I just hate that it took 19 months and public shaming to get here. I wish Oscar good health and prosperity going forward, I just won’t do business with him.
