The first round is complete. I will post the results later tonight. Boy I will have to say there were a couple of Upsets that surprised me.

An #9 beating an #8 isn't much of an upset so hopefully I'm not in any of those couple of surprises...make it through...one time dealer!

The results from the first region the East Region are in. Wow in the very first game we had a MAJOR Upset as #16 @Rex beat #1 @detroitdad with a Jack to the 8 and 9 of DD. Detroit Dad is usually a strong contender every year, but this year Cinderella showed up big. Then #13 @ef28 pulled of another upset as he beat #4 @mike32 with a King to the 9 and Queen of Mike32. #6 @suited67 needed his Ace to hold off #11 @soccerdadof3 who came out strong with a Jack which was not enough. #2 @ekricket needed an Ace as #15 @Jaxen came out swinging for a knockout punch with an Queen to try to pull of an upset, but it was not to be. @TheJestyr @merkong and @chippitydoodah also survive and advance. The other region brackets will be posted later tonight.

Hi all this is the West Region Bracket and there is an upset here, but not as monumental as a #1 losing to a #16. #2 @NotRealNameNoSir sputtered in his matchup with a 4 and 5 while #15 @owlbee pulled off the upset with a Jack. The power couple #1 @Poker Zombie and #6 @Mrs Poker Zombie move on with strong performances with a Queen and King respectively. Sorry @judgeanjury what you were hoping for not to happen happened as #9 @mugenpowr pulled out a Jack to your 10. @MrBoosh @legend672 @Jake14mw @BPTDirector also move on.

Hi everyone the South Bracket was played next. #2 @krafticus was the second #2 seed to be upset this year as #15 @bmacpoker came out swinging with an ACE and krafticus could only get a 4 and a 3. #1 @RocAFella1 was put in a position to be upset with only an 8 and a 2, but #16 @almondjoyce could not capitalize only producing a 4. #8 @paul sydney had to battle back with a King after pulling an 3 for first card after #9 @Northern Paladin pulled out a Queen for his card. #12 @iLovePoker pulled off an upset of #4 @mattross1313 as he pulled out a King to measly 3 and 2 of mattross1313. The premier matchup of this region was #7 @Dodger vs #10 @Flopalopagus they both pulled out strong Kings in the first round to tie sending the game into OT. And in OT Flopalopagus pulls it out with a 10 to the 3 of Dodger. @Chipnut @SwissChip @surfik also advance.

Hi everyone this is final bracket of the 1st round which is the Midwest Region. Another major upset has happened. Wow 2 Years in a row #1 @WedgeRock was upset by a #16 seed this year by @GGHank. WedgeRock could only muster a 2 and 7 while GGHank got a Jack. Immediately after the loss this year WedgeRock has decided to part ways with the team's existing coach. It was announced that a National search for a new coach has begun immediately. #7 @btbmason had an epic battle with #10 @PokerDogDoc as they both pulled out a 10 to tie in the 1st round to go into OT. In OT PokerDogDoc came out with gun's blazin as he pulled out an Ace to the 4 of btbmason. Just a note on this matchup on the Excel I had to list the Ace first before the 10 as Excel converts a 10 A as 10:00AM and it screws up the formula. #14 @Snapplefacts called out his upset as he beat #3 @inca911 with a Queen to the 3 and 9 of inca. @Jackstraw @Himewad @Max D @Geremie also move on.

Hi everyone the round of 32 games have been played. The results will be posted tomorrow evening. I just don't have the time right now to post the recaps and then tomorrow there is church and an event I have to attend in the afternoon. Just some hints that some Cinderella's are still dancing while other Cinderella's the clock has struck midnight. That doesn't give away much because there were plenty of upsets in Round 1 LOL. The last thing I will say is the Garden State reps well in the Sweet 16!

Hi Everyone the round of 32 was played and this is the first bracket the East Region. #16 @Rex the Cinderella Keeps on dancing as he beat #8 @TheJestyr in a very low scoring game with 3 to the 2 of Jestyr. #13 @ef28 keeps up the upsets of the higher seeds with his Queen to the 6 of #5 @merkong. #3 @chippitydoodah moves on with a Jack to the 5 of #6 @Suited Connector . #10 @harrysallout pulls off another upset of #2 @ekricket with a Jack to the 8 and 9 of Harry. The Sweet 16 is up next for the 4 winners.

Hi everyone this is the next bracket that was played The West Region. #1 @Poker Zombie left no doubt why he was seeded #1 by pulling out ACES for both his cards. #9 @mugenpowr pulled out a 10, but it was no chance for him to win. Next #4 @legend672 needed a Queen in his second card to beat the 8 of #5 @Jake14mw. #3 @BPTDirector wins with a King to the 10 of @Mrs Poker Zombie who usually makes it to the prize round in any of my giveaways. Another Cinderella #15 @owlbee keeps on dancing as he pulled out the Jack to the 3 of #7 @MrBoosh. All winners will advance to the Sweet 16 next weekend.
