I am known to my neighborhood for systematically begging to have 50E or 20E bills broken down to 5E bills and 1E coins as change, while small-shopping :)
Banks will NOT do it:rolleyes:

Why won't they? Is that a EU thing? If I want to break $300 into $1's, the Chase teller just gives me a sly look that tells me to have fun at the strip club.

I've never run a cash game so never considered this before, but it's got me thinking a little bit.

I like the idea of rounding to the nearest $1 or $5 for payouts, and then everyone throwing their change into the pot for a final double board OMAHA hand, something like that.

If + or - $5 is meaningful for you. You shouldn’t be playing poker
True in a 1/2 or 2/5 game, I suppose.

However there's tons of people still playing .05/.10 or .10/.25 (or even .25/.25) for $10 or $20 buyins. Try telling them that they are supposed to lose a quarter or half their original stake to a rounding down rule ("WTF, I have $9.65 of my original $10 buy in left, and you're only giving me $5 back????").

Every game is different too. My last .25/.25 game we had almost 2500 on the table. Ive been to 1/1 games that play half that size.

Sure you did grandpa. Let's get you back to bed .....

Hi bank. Can you do a bank service for me?

Absolutely not. Get out.

It's partly an EU thing, and a national thing too, to limit cash use, 'cause cash is ideal for criminals, either organised or disorganised ones (like us). :)
On top of that, there is bank laziness and reluctance, by the Government, to tell the holly cows (banks) do their job.

You better take the hallowed word 'Confederacy' out of your stinking, rotten, spud-sucking perfectly round mouth.

YOU DON'T DESERVE TO SPEAK IT.

Things that lasted longer than the Confederacy:

Desperate Housewives
New Coke
MySpace
Obama's Presidency
Any can of tuna
An IUD
My Little Pony
Netscape
Betamax
GTA VI's development
Sega Saturn
Wii U
The $5 footlong

As a host, I will pay exact amounts to players if they want.

As a player, I round myself down to the nearest $10 or $20.

Banking/hosting is a thankless job, I almost always tip them during cash out. If ya'll can afford to gamble, ya'll can afford to spare the bank a couple bucks.
