Hey folks,

As most of you already know from the earlier thread/updates, a set of Rancho Agave’s I shipped to the buyer (total value around $2,700) was stolen right off the reshipper’s porch before it could be forwarded. Insurance didn’t cover it, so both the buyer and I are out.

My goal is still to make the buyer 100% whole. To start there are still 2 barrels of T500 with the reshipper valued at $240 so I'm looking to raise $2460 to make the buyer whole.

Instead of one person (or just me) eating the remaining hit, I was hoping the forum community might rally for a small, informal fundraiser to cover the rest. If enough of us chip in, even just a few bucks each, the amount per person would be really low (pocket change for most), but it would add up quickly and resolve this fully for the buyer.

I know reading “fundraiser” might have some folks reaching for the pitchforks, and I totally get it. This isn’t a sob story, not a way to offload a business expense, and definitely not panhandling. It’s just one member asking in good faith, after already stepping up with my own contribution, if the group can come together to turn this crappy porch theft into something positive by making the affected buyer whole again.

If you’re open to helping (even $5 to $10), please reply here or PM me. No pressure at all. If you’re not in a position to contribute or just prefer to sit this one out, I completely understand and appreciate you reading this.

If you'd like to just donate and are a Us member use this address which is @horseshoez and there's no fees. [email protected]

If your Canadian use my pp here which is mine [email protected] and no fees.

If you are from anywhere else and would like to help either address will work and it's greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the support this community has shown in tough spots before (e.g. In This Together Fundraiser) Hoping we can keep those good vibes going and close this out right.

Definitely an unfortunate situation. I have a couple of questions. Did the sale price of $2700 include a profit for you? Also, how much of the $2700 are you committing to? For example, if you collect $2700 from the community would you be out zero or would you, as an example, stop collections at $2600 and throw in $100 to make it $2700? If you only collected $2400 would you pay the remaining $300 to the buyer?

The sale price was my cost no profit on my end. I'm on the hook for the remaining balance. At this point I would gladly put $500 towards the total and hope my end doesn't exceed $1000. A definite learning opportunity on my end but without a d bag thief non of this happens.

If this somehow raises the full amount then I know another member with a missing rack of Tigers that I would forward the balance to and if they decline than I'm sure there's a good charity that would like a donation.
Something in honor of @Johnny5 and/or @allforcharity if you have excess to donate. Amazing Canadians!

I’m in for $20. Terrible situation.

(I have a somewhat similar situation—without the asshole theft component—where I (re)shipped a package to some Aussie members in November, worth a decent amount and it got rerouted to a different country and hasn’t been returned to me or delivered in 3 months. Holding out hope that it will eventually show up somewhere but I feel really bad that people may be both out a big chunk of change and have no chips to show for it.)

In the meantime, put me down for $100 toward your deal. Pretty sure mine is a lost cause, but that doesn’t change the fact your situation sucks, too!

You are awesome. Im hoping that with the number of members on here we can easily get there. 220 members at $10 each does the trick. Appreciate it.

That is a awesome suggestion for a donation.

I've been fortunate in that shipped and received over 300 packages without suffering a loss.

I'm happy to send the barrel of RA T500 I offered before ($100+ value)
