Vegas blackjack — where are the decent games these days? (1 Viewer)

I’ll be in Las Vegas next week and planning to play some blackjack.
It’s been a while since I played in person, so I’m curious what the landscape looks like now.

Which casinos still spread player-friendly rules (good payouts, reasonable decks, etc.)?
Not looking for anything extreme — just hoping to avoid the worst tables and play a fair game.

Also wondering if certain properties are noticeably tighter or looser than others lately.

Appreciate any current info — things seem to change faster than they used to.

Downtown Vegas. Get off the strip.

On the Strip you'll have to be betting green chips (plural) to find 3:2 rather than 6:5. It's sad.
On my last trip in October I didn't play a lick of BJ, I went with Pai Gow, which is "Face Up" at all the Caesar's properties (Dealer shows and sets their hand before you even pick yours up, so you know what you have to beat) and they got rid of the 5% commission since seems like everyone's making the stupid side bets (which they wouldn't offer if they were good bets).

I think the Downtown Grand has 3:2 $10 blackjack. Ellis Island might still run $5 3:2 tables, but good luck getting a seat. Palms may also have $5 3:2. Ymmv though, I mostly play craps so I wasn't paying as much attention to BJ.

Yeah good point I forgot about that rule and looked stupid when I first saw it. I guess that's the tax you pay for getting rid of the commission.

That’s exactly why I’ve been less excited about Strip blackjack lately—6:5 everywhere unless you’re betting green. Great to know that downtown still has 3:2.

Pai Gow at Caesars sounds like a nice alternative, especially without the commission.

Definitely off the strip is the answer. I did see 2 $25 3:2 tables at 7am in bellagio on that walk in stretch. But Im an early bird, not everyone wants to play blackjack with breakfast lol.
