I'm seriously considering a Vegas trip next summer leaving immediately following the Great Divide meat up. Leaving Sunday Aug. 6-8, two nights. This trip would have a priority of harvesting, and checking out some down town weirdness. I'm looking to avoid the resort fees and latest Vegas strip BS. Daytime harvest on the strip area casinos. It will be a hot MF!! Anyone interested in going and splitting a room/car?

Who has stayed in a Downtown Hotel lately? Needs to be a decent place with free WIFI, walking distance to Fremont Street. Any suggestions other than what I'm reading on line.

Chips that could be on my hit list downtown would be:

Binions RHC $1 2Vs - have 100, looking for more to complete mixed set.
California RHC $1 2Vs or 418 Blue or white with flower inlay if they are not too beat up. Probably a longshot.
Golden Nugget $1 House mold 314 Blue with yellow spots
Plaza RHC 2V Blue/tan Pool at the Plaza

Others Off Strip:

Boulder Station LCV 414 Sky Blue - new chips in 2016
Westgate House 312 Blue/Brown/Orange/Yellow

Las Vegas Strip:
Caesar's Palace House Mold 418 Blue/Lime Green
Circus Circus RHC Clown 2012 relaease White/Pink
Mirage Poker House 414 Beige/Brown - easy to harvest??

Any updated information on harvest climate for any of the listed casinos? Buy at cage, rack up and just walk out of poker room, craps tables, etc.

Thanks!

Just FYI, in case you needed 414, those are all actually 418.

There is no "free" wifi, it is part of those lovely resort fees.

I have not stayed there, but played at GN last week and it was nice. If you are going downtown, stay there IMO. It is a 4 diamond resort, and if you sign up for their email list, you get room specials all the time.

I did not try hard enough to harvest chips since I was playing table games except for one 1/2 NL session at Venetian, so cannot answer how hard it is. I picked up a barrel of decent $1 Venetian and Palazzo chips over the 3 days, but did not ask cage for mint rack. Caesar's has two versions of the chips, the smaller inlay are newer. Circus chips I got a couple 3 years ago off the tables, no poker if I recall.

Hope that helped.

/\ This..Wife and I stayed there last Thanksgiving.

Unless you just want a place for your head for cheap-er then there is other options...
I get free room offers every month from Main Street Station since that's my home base on Bconnected.

Also...VMB is full of great info.

Mike, don't forget the chip convention/PCF meetup in Vegas in late June. At the moment it looks like I will be in vegas two weekends in a row because of the Vegas Magic Grand Prix.

If I'm in CO by that time then I would consider another Vegas trip with you that weekend. Otherwise I would be doubtful for a fourth trip next summer (two Vegas, one Denver). Gotta save some money back for the trip to France next year.

The Plaza will be nearly impossible to harvest chips from. I tried multiple tables (including craps) and multiple cage people with no luck. The most they would give me was 1 souvenir chip

June is out until I quit Aramco. School goes untikl the end of June.

If those bikinis are on the craps tables I'm sure I can get a few each session. I'm sneaky. :sneaky:
