Well guys it happened… Saw a refund come through and got an email saying my cards never made it through… this is absolutely ridiculous.. I waited this whole damn time and this is the shit I get… Fucking terrible…
You're not the only one. I sincerely apologize to everyone that didn't get what they wanted. This got way out of hands and at the time I thought I had everything under control.

As I'll keep saying. This is a huge lesson learned for me. I'm sure I messed up my rep around here, but I'm trying to get this done.

So, after this I'll not be doing anything like this again.

Just following up on my prior post. Oscar followed up with an email to me and noted that he had additonal cards for 3/8 of the designs and will be sending those to me. I also just received a refund for the missing cards from him as well. Not a perfect situation, but certainly was good of Oscar to send the remaining cards he had and give me a refund for the rest. So thank you for that, Oscar.

Can you just answer my question if my order even exists and if so, how many are undamaged and actually usable? Happy to just take a refund at this point if easier and wash my hands of this fiasco.

Your order exists. I believe out of the 25 bridge and 25 poker there were possibly 10-15 of them damaged of one size.

I will get that number for you in the morning and let you know. The package is in the car ready to be dropped off at the post office.

I received an email from Oscar today with detailed information, thanks for that @Okku .
Even if I don't receive all the cut cards I ordered, I won't complain just yet.
I'll give an update when I have my cut cards.

The thing I dont understand is the talks of damage, like where is the damage coming from? Are we saying that hundreds of cards were shipped damaged or did the get damaged while at Oscars?

So there is reputable company here getting quite a bad reputation without being able to defend them selfs.

Received mine last week. No issues with the final product from what I can tell.

Certainly lessons to be learned from Oscar on this one. Lord knows I’d never even think about taking on a GB with this many moving parts.

This is just a never ending story, glad to see that you have happy customers in this thread. Crossing my fingers for my own order!

Order delivered to Switzerland, yet here I am stateside with a tracking number, but no order yet, on cut cards that were delivered a month and a half ago.

No problems so far with my delivery.
Okku emailed me 19.01 and departed from LA 23.01 and now in denmark 25.01
The usual delay is in norway. Hopefull it will come to my mailbox this week.:wtf:

Damage is from my dog chewing into a packaged package and almost getting to the cards. Not sure why she did it but she did

Aw man thats unfortunate. At that point he and the vendor had to just get whatever was made out, anyone that didn't make it is outta luck. Its unfortunate but it wouldnt make sense to hold up an order for one or two people, it's just unfortunate you drew the short straw. Maybe you can get in on the Barrie groupbuy.

Yeah, why delay an order for one or two people on a group buy that took over a year to get across the finish line?

After 12 months, and excuses that the delays were because the artwork was reviewed and adjusted to be perfect, this is what I get?

Every bridge size cut card is pushed way to the right on both sides, almost like the poker file was used to print the bridge size. The poker size cards are less noticeable, but definitely not centered. These design files came from @Cratty and were perfectly centered when emailed.

I can't believe that these left the factory like this. Either the factory has no QC review or there was confusion on the artwork and you submitted it wrong, @Okku. I'm surprised you didn't alert me to the egregious printing error when you packed these and mailed them to me. Given the way this has gone, I take that back. I'm not surprised. But it's bullshit that I was charged a $10 setup fee in both sizes, and this is the result.

Regardless of whose error this is, I'm not accepting this. I either want a refund or replacement cards; I don't care whose fault it is. I can send the cards back or trash them. Let me know what to do next.

Sorry, @Skagglio, the wait on these cards is going to be a bit longer, and may not be delivered at all. I'll already let my son know that part of his February 2025 birthday present is still not ready, nearly a year later -- and may never be.

Art looks right, and in hindsight if we had known the printer's centering was this poor we probably would have just dropped the border altogether. Definitely unfortunate. I have to wonder if the printer puts more effort into centering if they're doing larger batches of designs (can adjust between sheets) vs small batches.

I will admit that I likely should have thought about production shifts/centering more. I've just been too used to printers producing far better than any stated safe zones/tolerances (e.g. Broken Arrow cards, custom playing cards I've also had produced elsewhere).

You have no blame here.

@Okku spent copious amounts of time going over all these artwork to ensure it was perfect. Between @Okku's review and the printer, someone should have identified the artwork as being problematic, or the final product (particularly the bridge size) as being unacceptable.

I appreciate you wanting to take some of the blame here, @Cratty, but there was nothing more you could have done.

People defending Oscar the last 8 months: "You'll get your $1.50 piece of plastic when you get it, grow up"

People defending Oscar now: "You're shit out of luck"
I think the defense at that time was both unwarranted and harmful.

It was obvious what was happening. And instead of this being a growth moment for a young adult and addressed, it bought goodwill to let this drag out further and worse - I get giving grace, and I'm so thankful for everyone who has ever given me grace - but you have to be some kind of stupid to white knight in an example where someone is literally in the midst of continually fibbing with documented proof over months on end. There were a million missteps and poor actions, not limited to listing and selling classifieds (and shipping them) while this GB fell apart (the audacity).

That being said, people should once again read between the lines.

The time to be upset is over, there is no fixing this. The amount of time that’s passed, the amount of changes to cards, the amount of conversations had with vendor, through diff people, and restarted, the number of revisions on designs. There is no, “let’s see where we went wrong on XYZ and fix it”. There is no way to go the vendor demanding fixes and replacement - people are out of their minds thinking that’s possible.

I guarantee anyone handed all communications, emails, spreadsheets of total buy by card/pcfer, etc. has ZERO shot at “fixing” it. Meanwhile the guy is flailing, has no clue how to remedy this, is watching the issues pile up, his WIFE is watching this go down in real time and the stress and anxiety it’s causing and he can’t begin to explain, new job, new kid, I mean his pet ruined cards. Not sure what could cause more stress.

I’m out a whole $30ish bucks (maybe less since I didn't have to pay rereshipping). Boo hoo. This dudes every day life right now is messed up. I think the majority of issues you won’t even hear about and they’ll write it off as a loss. Some people will be rightfully upset and ask for their purchase cost back.

That's it. Finito. If you're pissed, ask for your $10 or whatever. Or don't. There is no audit trail, there is no demanding Oscar to answer in detail the specific issues that occurred and the root cause of each, as much as folks want. This has never happened before, this will never happen again until someone tries to run a GB with 200 designs. That is the lesson PCF gets, accept it or don't.

This type of thing has been standard with this company for years now. Iirc only one of the cut card group buys finally implemented a standardized format with margins to help remedy it.

Old pic but zoom in to the PCF cut cards on the right. I assume it's the same company (if not I'll take this down), but for anyone wanting some proof.

Doesn't change much of the other shite but worth posting.

@Okku, do what you want. I think you're going to get bad feedback, bad advice, and difficult questions/issues/etc. that aren't worth digging through. PCF is dumb.

2 cents that are meaningless? Tell everyone they get what they get and you're looking to resolve everything by end of February.

Pick a day, create a separate PM folder, and spend half a day messaging the 200 or however many buyers a copy/paste message owning the mistakes, apologizing that you have neither the bandwidth nor is it possible to resolve the issues, and ask 1) if their order had issues and 2) if they'd like compensation. Ask for a response by Feb 10th. I would add that you will attempt to make folks who request it whole, but it may take some time dependent on everyone's feedback.

Feb 11th, going through the responses you have in that folder, update your spreadsheet with the users who had issues and requested compensation, add in that compensation. Organize compensation by lowest to greatest and pay in that order.

Maybe I get crucified for this, but it's a streamlined approach to end this nonsense. End of the day you have 0 negative feedback, this thread will stop getting bumped, and 2027 you'll be rolling along just fine, chipping, living, doing your thing. Down the road when you can see the forest from the trees, revisit and see where mistakes were made (it was not simply I took on too large of a project) and find the growth from it.

I won't be posting in here again (yes we've all heard that before).

Good luck to all folks who ordered and to Okku.
