Hey guys, as the title suggests, I'm building a Tina set of tournament chips, and there will be two sets, a T5 base and a T500 base, AND there will be a mixture of 39mm and 43mm chips for the bigger denoms.

My question is: If you had to play with BOTH of these sets regularly (T5 and T500, depending on the day), which versions would you prefer, Option 1 or 2? The only difference between them is if the progression to 43mm starts at the T500 chip OR the T1000 chip. I think I know the answer for most, but curious on general consensus. Here are some pictures if visuals help you make a decision.

OPTION #1: 43mm starts at T1K for both sets. (This means in the T500 set below only one chip is 39mm, the rest are 43mm)

OPTION #2: 43mm starts at T500 for both sets. (This means the T500 below would be all 43mm)

I think the most meaningful difference is, would people hate to have an undersized chip compared to the rest of the set? (ie option #1 (T500 Base)). Otherwise I think it's pretty standard practice.

Just curious what others think :)

Honestly, all the 43mm are my preference.
It's funny, that is what I assumed most would like but the poll isn't showing that so far! lol

Maybe I made it a little confusing, so I'm hoping the pictures illustrate what I was trying to compare

Also...my decision would be much easier if Tina did 47mm chips lol, I'd do the two "big" chips in each set as 1 size up from the other

Yeah I was voting 1k no brainer. 500s rightfully get no respect in tournament sets, and they’re rarely oversized chips in the cash world.

But then once I understood that the 500 would be the only small chip in one of the sets, the answer became 500, no brainer.

Just to confirm to make sure I didn't confuse most people...

Are most people really ok with having an undersized (39mm) T500 chip in an otherwise full 43mm T500 base set??

If so, good to know, but I assumed it would trigger most to have only one chip in a set being smaller than the rest.

I’ve seen people convert 36mm into quarters and even nickels for their 39mm sets. I’ve got two rack of 36mm that I’ve been meaning to do for like 5years now, lol.

Nowadays you can make a five denomination set with all different chip sizes, lol.

Ya I'm thinking that might be getting lost in the post.

Wait, yes, I indeed misunderstood when I voted. Huge trigger if it's just one small chip. Whole set of 43mm would be awesome.

Ya, I’m thinking if you account for the people that misunderstood the scenario I think it’s probably closer to 50/50 on whether people like the idea of having one small chip in a set vs all the same size (ie 43mm T500 base set)

My fault! I tried to make it clear with the details and pictures but that might have made it more confusing lol

I was able to edit the poll to allow people to change their vote if they first misunderstood.

To make it clear, if you vote for Option #1 (having the 1K as the first 43mm chip) that mean you are ok with having a T500 base set with 1 small chip that goes:

39mm 500
43mm 1K
43mm 5K
43mm 25K

Hope that clears it up! :)
