Looks awesome. How long did it take you? Any thing that wasn't straight forward and caused any issues in the build?

I would say the whole thing took about 4 hours, but that is mainly because I am VERY slow and methodical. Someone with a little more DIY/jigsaw experience could knock it out quicker.

Everything was straight forward and per the instructions, except for the 2 "D-brackets" that hold up shuffler. I simply had to turn them inward since there wasn't enough space to install them outward.

Not a single issue. I do not get the sense that this thing runs warm at all to begin with. Having it enclosed in the cabinet has made no difference.
That is also my experience, and mine has pillows surrounding it in the cart to decrease volume.

I am looking to do the same build. Thanks for the links.

One question is on the biasing the shuffler toward one end. Did you bias this for more cart under the table or more cart sticking out from the table. I'm thinking the top area left over can be use to set chips/all-in buttons on. Does that work?
I am asking because the cart must take up space and wondering which is better to have the extra space away from the table or under the table.

How is everybody's cart arranged in relation to the table?

I placed it towards the front because that would be the most accessible when using it. The unit is pretty tall, so you might have issues getting it under your table if it were on the "back side". Hope that makes sense.

I have a couple shufletechs in a very similar set up that we used before I bought Deckmates. Never had any issues with heat of anything else. Placed the cart in the one hole next to the dealer. Worked great.

Sounds like you have a couple sitting around collecting dust. If you ever want to sell one, I might know a guy looking for a second one. :)

Wow, should of taken out my measuring tape before buying. The Ikea cart is HUGE. and is way too tall. Under the table is 27", the Cart with the wheels (not added) is 29.5". The hight is not bad for the top of the shuffler to be 26". I am going to gut down the cabinet.

While I am cutting down the cabinet I am going to cut this monster way down to be about half it size. Will have to do some painting of the edges but it will be worth it. It takes up a whole player space which is what I expected but it is way too big.

Buy once cry once. I bought the overpriced shuffle tech cabinet they sell on their site. It’s the same price as a rack of chips!

And quite heavy I realised today, which prevented me from purchasing. I'm looking for a portable solution to bring it around to games hosted elsewhere. 27kg/60lb I think
I have a ton of individual file cabinets from my old office sitting around, unused. I bought some little casters and mounted them on the bottom and cut a hole in the top and cut the rear of the top drawer out enough I could operate the drawer. I then glued a thin foam mat normally used to line tool boxes to the top of the cabinet. Mounted the Shuffletech, filled the drawer will pillow stuffing and closed and locked the drawer. The file cabinet height is low enough to slide under the table when not in use and I can use the bottom drawer for chip storage. The pillow stuffing muffled a ton of the noise, too. Worked great the only time I used it. Now it’s just collecting dust as I upgraded my tables to Deckmates and mounted them in the tables, but vanity aside, the Shuffletech cabinet approach worked great.

You saved me. I wanted to be able to take my mounted shuffletech to other home games. The Alex would have been near impossible.

Well done! I am waiting for my ST mounting kit that I ordered in October to show up. I did lots of cutting on the Alex so mine is pretty much custom now.

I've been searching for months for the right piece to turn into a cart.
