New Models of China Clays (2 Viewers)

You have been gone a long time if the Roman mold is yours. According to the guide below it has been in ASM possession since 1900 so I’m assuming you had it made before then.
I am familiar with parts of the country not having electricity, I read by gas light some until 3d grade. But you blow that away, being around in the 1900’s.

He's incredibly old tho.... Did you assume his age? WTF.

Awesome look! My tourney set of these is coming Monday and a cash set during the week. I was schooled how well priced they were plus the deep autumn sale discount on TPS. Also hooked up a tourney set of nexgen remix. Went a little bonkers but I’m selling some of my keyboards so it dampens the blow a bit. Really happy to hear their quality! Thanks for sharing!

lol I inferred, based upon comments he made, that he wanted to be considered that old. So regardless of his actual age I accommodated him.
I’m just thoughtful like that.

Not interested in bothering with that. I just want to buy them done, if I could buy the labels already done and was easy, maybe, but I would want to just buy the chips already done
I had to re-center some of the labels on my 100s mostly, some of them weren't seated properly in the inlay and it was super easy to pull the label up with tweezers and center it. So I just tried that to put the 5000 label on the blue 0.25 chip and when the labels are properly seated they're not so easy to remove haha

My mold concept doesn't look anything like that. And It wasn't me who called it Roman, it was someone else. The work I did is original work.

Yeah, I can envision myself ruining them trying, just have to accept as is, can always get different sets with other colors. I am currently working on a custom set of Tina’s I will be ordering through Justin’s group buy. Waiting on him to finish my label idea, and I have to decide which chip style I want them on, pretty sure I will be choosing an Orange chip for my 1000, so I can get them in rotation more, instead of using it as a 5000. Maybe a pink for 5

Cash set coming tomorrow! I’ll post some pics. I got a micro stakes cash set with 5c 25c and $1 and a tourney set with 25 100 500 1000 and 5000. I don’t have them with me but I’ll post some tomorrow. The tourney set already came in. I’m very impressed with them so far. I’ve only ever had cheap chips so I may be biased and impressed with others here might scoff at but I love them. They’re 100% china clays, not ceramic like someone said here. The moldings are all perfect. Out of 700 I’ve found maybe three with off center labels and only one was egregious. They have a muted non-clinky sound with a very nice muted clunk sound that I really like. Stacks are a little wobbly but not overly noticeable when stacking. They came very dusty with I guess a particle lubricant from the molds, but a quick wipe did away with that. The colors are nice, there’s maybe a handful with smudges on the edge spots. Personally love the look

Most China Clays comes a little dusty, that’s normal. This is my 2nd CC set, and I was impressed too, they are pretty nice, glad your happy with them, enjoy

I found almost all of the wobble was caused by the off-center labels. If it bothers you its pretty easy to use tweezers and re-align the label yourself, that's what I did to my set. I ended up re-aligning ~50 stickers (out of 1000 total), 10 or so were egregious and the other 40 were only off by a little but still caused a slight wobble.

Also a bit of mish mash of what a mold is versus subdye art on a chip.
There are a few different threads being drawn together to support that critique. A mold using the engineering model that I have can be made, which is the thing I floated in response to SeanGecko in the "New Models" topic when he mentioned web mold Tina hybrids.

And I won't be doing a new public hybrid mold poll until 2026 sometime

Sean, what file format did they need for producing the web mold? I think I might just drop the file on PCF for future use with a public domain license.

I can kick out DXF, DWG, CGM, and others.

Nope. Non-image formats are not allowed to be posted on PCF. If someone who is a long time chipper wants to keep a copy of my files, LMK. I will send them to you for future use by PCF or anyone else.

I wish the Sun mold was available in the 43mm chip, I’m about to order a custom set from Justin and I’m torn, I want them in 43mm, and I also want them in Sun Mold, I can chose only 1. I already have a Web Mold 39mm set on order, I’m not interested in the Jester Mold, the Greek mold is nice, but with that, the label is smaller like on a 39mm chip, so my only option really is another Web Mold, or get the Sun Mold in 39mm, what do I do?

I had a sample set come in yesterday. They're grippy like a very firm pencil eraser, and tacky at first but that goes away. Still, if you try to bet a group of 4 or 5, they won't slide into a nice visible overlapping row, instead all the momentum will transfer to the last chip like an executive desk toy and fly across the table into another player's eye (probably).

Very good for the price (nice colors and stickers!) but I don't think I've found my dream set yet.

Realigned mine too! Super solid now and actually had some nice zen time doing it haha
