Alibaba Ceramic Poker Chips (24 Viewers)

Hi all

I am contemplating getting a set of ceramics off Alibaba mainly due to the prices are quite a steal on there.

I am just concerned that quality will be poor… I have had ceramic samples in the past from eBay which have had an odd glossy edging which I hated as the print on the edge was quite poor plus all of the samples where scratched or marked to some degree.

Is that the quality I would likely be getting by ordering through Alibaba?

There’s a monthly group buy for custom ceramic poker chips that are sourced from a reputable seller on alibaba:

Your best option would be to look through the thread and see if there’s anything you like. So it’ll be much cheaper in the end because you’ll save a bunch on shipping.

As for as I’m aware it’s available to everyone, the shipping would just be more in your case

I started off by looking at alibaba as well, and from what I remember a 700 chip set shipped to Canada was $280 USD just In shipping

No you want Shenzhen City Chenglin Industrial Co That is the official "tina" where everyone here buys from.
Its cheaper for you to buy directly there due to shipping. I've bought two times and quality has been great.
You just have to see what the UK custom tax is for you, probably expect like .35-50 Euro (total after shipping / custom) a chip depending what you want

Mine are 43mm custom ceramics, most people will by the web/ greek mold style (that have lables / pattern, mine are smooth and 100% printed). They can make anything you want, just ask.

Just search for "tina web mold" or "tina greek mold" here for refence images of their quality.

Just search "Tina chips." Hard to believe you have been here for 8 months, are considering chinese ceramics, and haven't run across the Tina threads. There have to be over 100 threads, and I'd bet there are around a half million Tina chips owned by PCF members.

Its not as convenient to buy chips out side of America for us Europeans, considering most value comes from Chines chips being boated over for the group buys here... The poker shops here sell Majestics/royals way overpriced and BroPro is not good value compared to ordering directly for a starter set. CPC is forever in limbo and used Paulson's are now where on the map for someone looking for a start set. What other options are we missing here?

Just be aware that not all molds for hybrid chips are available if you go outside of the group buys. I think the web, hat & cane, and no mold are public and anyone can order.

Hi, yes it was more who the are buying them from that I couldn’t find. I have never ordered chips from Alibaba and just don’t want to make an error picking a bad supplier more than anything.

100%, getting anything half decent here in the UK is a nightmare. Most sites do the run of the mill metal slug chips, and there is only 1 or 2 places that sell where you can select denominations

I am thinking the smooth ceramic over the card ceramic, could anyone tell me if these suffer from spinners and will the edge spots line up?

Also considering the centre being in white rather than black, is there any draw backs making the middle white, does it discolour etc.

Those look like the no-mold smooth ceramics. They will suffer from the occasional spinner, and the set I had of them had about 1 or 2 in each barrel of 20.
I would caution using their smooth texture chips, they’re VERY smooth, like a sheet of copy paper. I found the chips a bit slippery for my taste, so the next set I used their textured no-mold chips, and was much happier. There still is the issue of spinners, and the only way to get away from that is to buy the ceramic hybrids instead. I recommend getting samples of any that you are considering.
Edge spots always line up, provided your artwork is prepared correctly.
The center label/inlay area will be great in white, it’s actually preferred. Black and dark inks tend to show the spread or “bleed” that happens with due-sub chip printing, so using white with small text and graphics is a better way to go.
