Very interested in a set of chipcos. Chipcos were my first set of custom chips. I was a complete novice back then. I would also be interested in a redo of my yin yang chipco set with better colors and design, edge spot alignment and some 44 mm hi denominations. LFG!!

I’m new to group buys. Will the sample chips be available to everyone? If so, I would like to buy a sample set. I’ve never had a chipco chip before so not sure what their texture is like.

I feel like this is somewhat misleading, since this is a company that so far removed from the original Chipco. The original chips won't be replicated, and, their new blanks are apparently much different than the original Chipco blanks. They may have the rights to some of the original designs, though I'm not sure how the original business was broken up. I know BR Pro had a lot of the designs and blanks, and, I think some of the original printing equipment.

It feels like, at least to me, that many here are talking along the lines of this being a revival of the glory days of Chipco, and, in reality I think it's likely pretty far from that. The blanks, edging and finish texture that made Chipco's what they were, have seemingly given way to new and different everything.

Agreed with your thinking here, but i will at least get a sample set and see what the QC and the new blanks look/feel like. I realize the ownership of ChipCo or GOCC or whomever has the rights now is gonna be a whole new thing.

When GOCC first formed, they talked to the public a little bit if I remember right. I could swear I had some of their sample chips, and they were pretty awesome. Then they changed websites or ownership or something and nobody could get a hold of them for anything. I remember having two chips, and one was sprayed with some sort of coating maybe?

Good news! A chip designer has been found. They created these beauties and will be modifying them with the PCF logo for the samples. This is just for the samples so all design options for the GB set are still on the table.

Also, if you would like to do a person custom order alongside the GB set, start getting your designs ready. I'll be handling all aspects of the GB and dealing directly with guys at ChipCo. I just found out that DOO at ChipCo is originally from my area and an Eagles fan!
