My first build. Huge thanks to @Irish for putting up with my random questions.

Love the table, and that cloth design is FIRE

I actually have about 60 of them. Bought out a country club. If anyone wants to buy one of my other tables they can take some too.

Experimenting with some of them a bit

Took some trial and error, but managed to get casters to work

If you could pass on caster mods that would be awesome! Thanks!!

No problem. Took a lot of trial and error.

Eventually found this as a solution.

Use these inserts in the legs. The old inserts already on the gassers just pop off

And I used these casters but any 5/16-18 will work. I tried out many different options and found the ball casters to work and look best

I only started looking to do this because the raised rail made my table a smidge taller than I preferred. Didn’t want to modify the table legs. So the casters do add some height compared to before, but I think it’s better that way. No one likes being too short at the table. And it’s not a huge difference, but was just enough for what I needed.

DO NOT try to use the black plastic looking inserts. Tried those first and thought I had it solved. Went to sit down and the wheels flew out of the legs and I landed flat on my ass.

Thanks! I was worried about it translating to green but it worked. Got a black one too as back up. Maybe for the next build.

Green was 100% the right call. I’m planning on going with a similar felt/rail colour combo on my next build (which reminds me, I really need to wrap that up… )

Where’d you get the felt made?
I’ve used Tony in the past for my tables and couldn’t be happier with them. Since this is a round and dealing is generally much easier I didn’t want much glide so I decided to try casino supply. I ordered their “PRO microsuede” which is their lowest tier.

Cloth is nice and print quality is good. I don’t think it’s quite as sharp and deep as Tony’s colors, but it is good. More nap than I’m used to. We’ll see how it holds up and cleans.

The glide isn’t very good, but that’s what I was going for on a round. Have to toss pretty hard to even reach the rail. I wouldn’t recommend for a standard shaped table.

Thanks for the details! I suspected it wasn’t Tony’s but it makes sense that you don’t need to pitch far since it’s a round table. Love how the table came out!

A while ago, you launched a thread looking at pub vs round. I thought you went pub? Did you build it? What changed your mind?
I did go pub previously. I still think it’s a great shape and an excellent option… if that’s what fits the room best. I switched rooms and round was able to work in the new room. All things equal a round wins in every way for me. I just didn’t do it before because the size I wanted would have made the room extremely crammed.

Thanks. I went back to that thread and noticed you switched because of the room size- I was curious here if, over time, you came to hate the pub so much (in the same space) that you went to round or if something else changed.

Looks great, and your outer track design - the use of fading to indicate zones for each player - is incredible.
