Budget Friendly Starting Cash Set - $500 (2 Viewers)

Hello!

I am looking to invest in a good quality set for home games; using 25c/$1/$5 denoms or something of that sort, as we shouldn't have anyone running deep enough to need higher denoms. I was thinking of going for some BR poker custom chips, and using the EPT/The Lodge chip design(shown below).

I came on here for any other recommendations, such as if I'm wasting money on a custom ceramic set. Some parameters I'll set is a $500 maximum cost, with at least 500 chips.

Make sure you get a usable breakdown. This usually means fewer fracs and more $1 and $5 to cover your stakes. A typical 500 chip cash set usually covers 1 table of 8 players comfortably.

BRPRO have a really good reputation here for quality. For $500 that’s probably one of the better options. Recommend you buy a $10-$20 sample first so you’re sure before pulling the trigger.

BRPro is a great option!

You might come up with your own design, taking inspiration from chips that you like, not a straight copy.
