Hopefully this helps some folks save money. We've been on Spectrum 1Gig Internet for 3 years and we have 2 mobile phones paid off still using service with Verizon.

We're currently paying:

Spectrum: $115/month
Verizon: $109/month

So $224/month combined

I saw a thread on Reddit that prompted me to try this. I called Spectrum up and told the automated system "DISCONNECT"

I was connected with someone who started discussing the disconnection and I answered his questions, saying that AT&T had a better deal.

He was able to offer the following to keep us with them:

Internet - $50/month (price locked for 2 years, no contracts or cancel fees)

Switch to Spectrum mobile (uses Verizons network already) - One of our mobile lines is free for an entire year, the other is just $30/month all-in (taxes/fees included) and then after the year is up it'll be $60/month all-in for both.

So I'm going from paying $224/month to just $80/month for the next year, and then $110/month after that.

Hopefully this helps some of you find some savings each month to keep up with the rising cost of everything else!

We’re at nearly $500/month for our phones lol good lordy!

I need to give them a ring and threaten cancellations too

I recommend checking out Mint mobile for phones. They piggyback on others’ infrastructure and I think I pay like $25/month.

I'm at $30/month for 2 lines on spectrum plus internet with them, so just one bill/provider instead of 2

Been on Tracfone for close to 15 years. I currently pay $12/month for unlimited talk/text. The "gotcha" is the data, you only get 1 GB per month, but since I'm almost always on wifi I've never even come close to running out.

Meanwhile my 1Gbps fiber costs $20/month in one the most expensive cities in the world. It's a condo in the city though, so bit easier with the infrastructure than in the boonies.
