Not looking past Dallas, but if the Oilers make it back to the Finals, I'd personaly love a shot at redemption vs. Florida.

I think a Toronto v. Edmonton Finals would probably be epic on the ice, but unbearable from a media coverage standpoint (at least as an Oilers fan).

Carolina v. Edmonton? The prospect doesn't excite me at all.

Don't get me wrong, if the Oilers make the Finals again, I won't really give a rat's ass who they're playing; I'll be thrilled. I just think, for me anyways, Car vs Edm would be the least exciting match-up on paper from the 3 Eastern teams that are left still.

That hurt to watch, and I missed their "best" half-period in the first.

There was comments in the period breaks that it was "men vs. boys", and that was mostly right. Toronto just looked utterly outclassed and like they were just chasing the puck.

Lousy form by the fans... I saw at least one hat and one jersey hurled to the ice during play. I hope arena staff ID'ed those folks and ban them for life. No matter how poorly your team is playing, there's no place for that during a game... ever.

its a shame that the jets had another run of bad luck this year, i feel so bad for that one player who lost his dad just before game 6 yesterday. the jets keep making the playoffs and they were the best team in the league this year...

Well, wtf happened? I was banking on watching another game Friday night during my card game and now nothing. Man, blowing a 2 goal lead at home sucks, then to tie it after letting 3 go unanswered, only to let 2 more slip by you. I foolishly thought Carolina would win this series, but Florida is just too good.

Poor defense at times. Orlov made some critical mistakes. I'm ready for him to be traded. Need to make some moves in the offseason. Missed Chatfield this series a lot.

Everyone was pumped after going up 2-0 on Seabass goals, then in the 2nd period, the Panthers just turned it on like they can do. At least we won one and didn't have to see the lost 16 last conference championship games in a row.

I do think an Oilers matchup with the Panthers will be the most exciting. Will pull for the Oilers. Panthers get in so many cheap shots. Saw a bunch of them right in front of me.

*Edit, the last goal was an empty-netter. Canes were on a power play and pulled Freddie for a 6-on-4. I'm not the coach so not sure if I would have done that.

I agree, but didn't elaborate enough. The 2-minute power play was around the 3-minute mark left in the game, and I thought maybe Rod would wait a minute to see if the Canes could get a quick goal. He did not. The Panthers nearly missed the empty net pretty quickly. Doesn't even matter. The Panthers were going to win the series. I was entertained.

It’s gonna be a helluva match-up, but I’ve stopped doubting the Oilers this season. Every time I think they’re done or have no chance, they’ve proved me absolutely wrong. Let’s hope they can keep it up for a few more weeks!
